flukes are still part of the game right? you gotta accept it, its a part of the game. why play this game/sport if you keep humming on a fluke! you get flukes too right?
When I last played snooker about a week ago, I scored a really good fluke shot. I cannoned a red at the corner pocket, it jumped out and rolled all the way along the top of the bottom cushion and landed in the other corner pocket. Can't get more flukie than that :P
Hows that? What do you call 9-ball? Flukes abound! As long as you hit the lowest numbered ball first anything can go in - and it happens a lot more often than in snooker.....
Flukes are bound to happen more in american pool because the pockets are larger and the table smaller, dick for brain. Teh difference is, they made rules to MINIMIZE that luck. You can't just pot a ball into the wrong pocket by accident.
I love flukes!

@jsmh3 Yeah it is a part of the game, a part that needs to be stopped by a change in rules.

Luck is at times a part of many games in sports...

yes but most sports make efforts to minimise it, like american pool does.
Snooker make sno effort to minimise it.

This is not american pool, each sport has its own character. If you don't enjoy the way it is, just watch american pool. End of argument.
