  • are you fucking kidding me? this is music, i love you so xD

  • wow

  • ziggy is a rebel we love him

  • HAPPY BIRTHDAY DAVID ~~~ 3/7/1975 .. I LIVED THE 60'S ~ FLOWER CHILD DAYS WAS SWEET ,, BEST DAYS OF MY LIVE !!!! YUP HAD EVERY DRUG YOU COULD OF THINK OF AND WAS MADE ~~ SOLD ALOT ALSO .. I THANK GOD TODAY I'M CLEAN AND STILL ALIVE :)

  • ...maybe this is perverted. But I'm 16 and I wouldn't kick him out of my bed.

  • i remember this song playing when i went to dinner party in oxord, england - hosted by a very rich school friend who i hadn't seen for years. he said, before i arrived, 'you might not recognise me'.

he was right: he answered the door to his posh flat in a listed georgian terrace, wearing a gold, sue barker mini-skirt, a full wig and make-up and high heels. two years previous, he'd played rugby for univ, winning a blue. he look okay - until he bent over - showing his marks and sparks pants.

  • That's the kind of girl every man wants. A rebel.

  • he iis awesomeeeeee

  • R.I.P David Bowie.

  • @Hirokaze R.I.P?????????????????

  • @MrA3sb wtf ? he is alive ! :)

  • @alasemeli I know, but he still deserves a peaceful rest, dead or alive. I like this song.

  • @Hirokaze it's ok then ;)

    you've scared me :))))

  • @Hirokaze hes still alive.

  • Oh if only I had been around in the '60s or '70s so I could have been drafted to fight in Vietnam

  • This tune is a gem, but all of you who bitch about not being born in the era that it was recorded are a bunch of circus freaks.

  • i used to think the best time travel pick would be 1776 in Philadelphia. This tune makes me switch to a raging apartment party on the upper east side in 1976. coke, chicks, craziness. it all happened. some are still standing.

  • lady gaga is a dirty cunt

  • to me, anyways, nothing sexier then a man with a ciggarrette hanging lightly off his lips;)

  • @nirvanawishiwas96 You'll love me then... Lol - there's one there all the time.

  • @MatthewDavidParr mmm, and how old are you?

  • @nirvanawishiwas96 16 lol - how about you?

  • @MatthewDavidParr same. do you kinda look like bowie?

  • @nirvanawishiwas96 Umm. :/ Not really - a little bit maybe.

  • Such a remarkable song. Five years is my favourite song by him aside from SPACE ODDITY and I guess I would Rebel Rebel a lot more if I knew the lyrics to the chorus atleast so let's practice. "Rebel Rebel you've torn your dress, Rebel Rebel your face is a mess, Rebel Rebel how could they know? Hot tramp I love you so!" Think that is it.

  • @superunt43 my decoder ring had your statement as saying that there was no good music til 73....

  • @alexwilsonNC 73? If memory serves and it does quite well without "Googling". Didn,t Sir Elton arrive about that year? Well then 73 may very well be the demarcation point? Evolution has a way of occuring suddenly, violently? I did not mean to say "good". What I meant to say was music did not exist pre-73 in the US?

  • @superunt43 Two words Doors Janis...

    Says it all imo

  • why is all good music made in a span of 20 years

  • tommy gavin?

  • Words cannot describe how fit he looks in that photo.

  • Very epic guitar riff!!!

  • I love this song because it is so me "you've got your mother in a whirl, she not sure if your a boy or a girl" - I am a rock chick through and through, lots of piercings and band t-shirts and baggy hoodies, my androgynous look is something which seems to confuse people haha

  • The Man!

  • Love this guitar riff so much...

  • so many memories made with this song, i wish i could re-live them just for one more time.

  • just like the rebel thing, never done it. xx

  • Made more awesome by the fact that I believe David played the guitar on this track.

  • alright.

  • i born in 1998,and i would give anything to reborn near the 60's ....

  • @punkykid69 I know right? Being born in 1965 would be so perfect.. I'd get to grow up around Beatlesmania and in the psychedelic/flower child era of the 70's, and then be a young adult/teenager when punk started coming around in the 80's, and then a young woman when grunge was big in the 90's.. Holy shit. Yes.

  • @punkykid69 ..and I would give anything to be born in 1998-not 1959,cherish your youth!

  • @punkykid69 I the verb.

  • @punkykid69 '96, and I know where you're coming from. But this day and age needs us young rockers. We need to remind the world what music sounds like, because this shit nowadays is an insult to music.

  • @punkykid69 So you would you be deaf, if it meant you were born in the sixties?

  • @punkykid69 I may have agreed with you some time before, but now I would tell you to watch "Midnight in Paris". It’s a 2011 movie :)

  • This song pissed me off....manly because it didnt stay on the radio...never hear this song now :(

  • not only a song.. an anthem !

  • I have been a David B fan for 43 years so i can honestly say i am an original david fan and i do not think you can beat any of his 70s stuff anything after that is too commercial. Total control to Major Tom!!!!!

  • @stejul1956 Completely AGREE! I was born in 70 & I think the 70's was the last of the BEST music. Few later exceptions such as U2 & a few other early 80's artists.....

  • Popular music in the 80s sucked. That being said, am I the only one who finds it strange that NO ONE has formed a religion based on David Bowie yet?

  • I wish I was David Bowie.

  • @jjjoooeee97 if you become one day,can I meet you?

  • fatastica. veramente una cosa stupendaaaa

  • My dad kept all of his old records from when he was alot younger. I was looking in loft and stumbled across them. About 75% of the records were Bowie ones. From that day on I have regarded my dad as awesome!

  • This man makes me hate being a 90's kid. How I wish I lived the 70s.

  • @annacherrym Our times ok man, i think best year to be born would be 89 so 5 years older for me, just so we can experience 90s and 00s with better memory they were good years but 10s will suck

  • @grkmalaka12 00s have sucked harder then anytime in history. anything willl be better than that

  • @elrojouno You're forgetting the 80's quite quicky mate. Even Bowie regrets what he did in the 80's. The music was real shite back then, and the outfits weren't better. Maybe the even decade are doomed. So hopefully the 10's will be awesome.

  • @AtropaLP shut up you faggot 80's music is the only real music because back then songs had real love and emotion flow through them unlike shitty mcr rock wanna-be crap and atrocious dub-step.

  • @derpman112 How smart it is to call someone a fag on a Bowie video. :) And no, 80's music was pure crap, sorry. Disco isn't better than dubstep, period.

  • @AtropaLP hahaha! I hope your joking because those two types of musicshouldn't even be mentioned in the same sentence; dubstep can suck dick. If you think this is crap then why did you bother looking at this?

  • @grkmalaka12 Idk dude, i don't like this... I'm pretty 70s in my mind.

  • @annacherrym me too man

  • @annacherrym try 60's? Music was at that point a mute point. 1965 Starship Enterprise took flight? 60's everyone was drugged up, noticed music 1973? Thought what yah guys got? Then David, Freddie,Elton among others created critical mass regarding music? Canadians were thinkin? They didn't push the button? They did, rest is history.

  • @superunt43 ummm ya I know most of these words

  • @superunt43 Jimi Hendrix was in the 60's as were the Beatles, the Stones, the Who, the Doors, Cream, and Black Sabbath......

  • @alexwilsonNC Yes? What is your point?

  • @annacherrym

Yeah. I wish i born in 70s too.

I love their hair. The leather. The real music.

    Especially he melody.......

  • @90158160 If you were born in the 70's, that would have mean, teenage years in the 80's. Have you ever watched TV, don't you know how much the outfits were aweful back then?

  • @AtropaLP yeah theyre great so grunge

  • @90158160

Yea but then you would be all spent up and used up like an old crusty rag!

  • @annacherrym how can you hate the decade that spawned cat power.. and modest mouse, 16 horsepower, fourtet and the nearcountless others..

  • @26mistakes exactly... every era has its golden musical moments, otherwise the world would be hopeless with no musical innovation and passion...

  • @peacetynanlove and super thumbs up to modest mouse.

  • @annacherrym Bowie is awesome, no matter when you live.

  • @Whitedusk225 True, but I would've loved going to one of his concerts.

  • @annacherrym i know right me 2 i was born 1990 missed it by 2 decades i wish i was born bac then god i bet crazy times with all the sic music

  • @annacherrym Bowie made some amazing stuff in the 90s as well. Besides if i lived in the 70s i would be dead now :P every drug humanly possible.

  • @gundambob646 Some of us did live through it. Even the embarrassment of admitting to things like Sat Night Fever...

  • @gundambob646 I AAAAAAALWAYS SAY THAT! Hahahahahah. Yeah, but I was born in 1993, so I didn't live it either... Now I can listen to his music, and I'm pretty sure it'll trascend, but I'll never go to a concert ;).

  • @annacherrym

I was born in 1965. I wish I was a 90's kid. This time is so much better than the ugly 70's.

  • @argumenteren Maaaaybe... Idk, almost all of this generation's music sucks, the 70s were better, musically, my grandmother and my mom always tell me good and bad stories, and because of that, i don't see the 70s as ugly as 90s and 00s.

  • @annacherrym true story

  • @annacherrym Gotta admit.. It was pretty damn great!!

  • bad sound, crappy picture , but that's so great !!

  • Don't stress it -- we were lucky enough to be a part of it. Love that. Thank you, Mom for making me a 60's kid. Muah! Effin love it and always have. Bring it on, kiddies.

  • rihanna is a slut

  • @9205connection she is a slut that to be honest i wouldn't mind going a night with but i hate anything she sings

  • @9205connection ... A dirty, crude, filthy, smelly, gross slut~

  • @9205connection what the fuck is a rihanna?

  • @9205connection

oh how I love random top comments!

  • @9205connection Hush. There's something good in everything. And I am not ashamed to say I love The Beatles, Rolling Stones, Velvet Underground, Bob Dylan and The Kinks and like Rihanna, Eminem, Bruno Mars, Wiz Khalifa and Lady Gaga, YES LADY GAGA at the same time. :'] So don't say 'rihanna is a slut' just because you're not a fan of her music. Get some personality in your life.

  • @JackTheRipperOnYT I think they said that because her songs have no musical or poetic value.

  • @JackTheRipperOnYT Oh, or personality, forgot that, they are just factory made.

  • *goes fangirl and squees* ^-^ Actually, I was just talkin' to someone today about David Bowie and she had never heard of him. It killed me a little on the inside. This just made me feel that much better.

  • @TheJoemoze I am sorry. Forgive me.

  • @GabiKalita lol its fine

  • @TheJoemoze Somebody commented that this sounded like the Rolling Stones. Then somebody else said it sounded like Rihanna. As a joke. And you ostricized them and said never to mention rihanna on a david bowie video again. The joke was that the original person who mentioned the Stones was an idiot. I mean if you didn't read all the comments, I get it. You fucked up. But don't act like the Rihanna guy is an idiot. He was making a joke.

  • @BigOlDipshit 'I' didnt do anything, like i said several people use this account.

  • @TheJoemoze Whatever bro. I'm just trying to explain the situation.

  • this sounds a lot like rolling stones dont it?

  • @GabiKalita never talk about rhianna on a david bowie video again

  • @TheJoemoze You're an idiot and you missed the joke.

  • Comment removed

  • he's looking pretty good in that picture. David Bowie is a brilliant man .

  • HAWT TRAMP!

  • robble robble! this song is about the hamburglar bitch!

  • I thought the riff was average :S I do like the song though.

  • he is the least attractive man i've ever fancied, he's bloody weird looking, but damn, what a brilliant guy in every respect

  • Played lots of billiards in the bar listening to this

  • is that a joint he smokes?

  • Bowie ... the guy saved us from a shitload of bad music in the 70s (see "Air Supply.")

  • my girlfriend got me a bowie t-shirt with this picture of him. fucking best present ever.

  • I can't remember who i was before this song.

  • @klimtZ23 see my vids & learn herbs as kelp, kale, dandeion, coriander, cayenne, pine, maca etC

  • alfi,beti,gama,deltiPozdravi!!!! foLamborghini!!

  • The riff is like a portion of the famous SATISFACTION riff. Uses fuzz as well. Words totally different, the melody goes other places, has a nice bridge. Same stomping beat as SATISFACTION.

  • and you can drop the "almost"

  • It's almost plagiarism

  • Thia song has a Mick Jagger/ Rolling Stones feel about it. Anyone have any thoughts on that.

  • @rigley5 It's a tasty lick.

  • @rigley5 no but if i did id tell you without you asking.

  • @rigley5 Yeah, I agree.

  • YUM

  • i met a girl on omegle and she likes this :P

  • Happy Birthday

  • HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!

  • is that a joint? david smoked le marijuanas?

  • @slutypet course he did. he maybe still do.

  • @slutypet Doubt it, probably just a cig, cause you know.. smoking cancer sticks was cool back then :P

  • @DeebzofDemacia yeah, weed ftw

  • @DeebzofDemacia DEMACIAAAAAAAAAA

  • Yayeh!

  • idk what is more perfect, the song, o the picture of him <3

  • I don't even mind that Mick Ronson plays the wrong chords twioe in this song.

Reminds me of when The Flyers won the Stanley Cup.

  • Such a sad thing that when we write 'David' on the youtube search we get David Guetta instead of Bowie :(

  • @annalty why is that sad?

  • @annalty i fuckin agree 100% (music sucks now-a-days)

  • @annalty marry me? even if youre a guy.... that comment was me fall in love with you worthy....

  • @annalty Both of them are great, they can't be compared

  • @annalty I thought exactly the same!

    Really sad!

  • @annalty hardly that sad. First world problems...

I prefer David Bowie to David Guetta. But he's not part of pop culture anymore. If you really feel strongly about it then share some Bowie around, do your best to encourage more people to listem to him. That would be more constructive then bemoaning the evolutionatory nature of pop culture.

    Peace.

  • @guymedia2012 Bowie is permanently part of pop culture, there isn't anyone who hasn't been influenced in some way, and even then for someone who doesn't do allot these days he's surprisingly popular with younger generations

  • its official,cigarettes make u look better :)

  • Timeless rebel, we mainly rebel against ourselves :) I aprove.

  • que hombre más sexy....

  • Cool riff and it wasn't Ronson. Bowie played the guitar on this one and most of the tracks on the Diamond Dogs LP.

  • SI SI SI SIIIIIIII TOMA YA¡¡

  • bowie = genius !

  • siempre maravilloso

  • wish I had a car to cruise to this, cannot imagine a better afternoon than driving to a bit of a true classic hero

  • @laminator69er Hahah, the same thing I just thought off, that idea just popped in my head, just as I played this song again. I did not listen to it in awhile. :D

  • MY Song!

  • @AlokinCimot hahaha..me too..

  • Oooh, yeah !!!

    David, you're FABULOUS !!!!!

  • one of the sexiest songs ever!

  • GREAT!!!!!

  • wow

  • he is just damn rite qorqeous:)

  • This song is timeless...

  • fu-u-do-do-u-uck yeah, rock and roll
