Wow, I own rats as pets from ratteries, but respect that snakes need food too, and you are really a great feeder breeder! I wouldn't handle the pinky mice much, I used to bred hamsters and you can't touch them till they get fur. Rats are great mothers tho. And you might have a Rex rat, the weird haired one.your rats look healthy and are kept in good conditions, even have a heater! So I'd even get a rat from you!
owe by the way what type of feed pellets do you buy sense you buy feed store pellets that you feed to your rats i have been trying to find a good cheap pellet that will work for pregnant and nursing rats and breeding rats.

where do you guys find your tan hooded females i have been searching around my petstores and they don't seem to have them. anywhere. i don't want to buy them from petsmart because i bought one from them and he ended up dieing two weeks later. but i did find a blue hooded with a stripe going down his back and finely had a batch of babies have blues bluehoodeds and a couple full blues so we will see what happens when i breed the blue to another blue female when they are ready. i am going to wean
you know why she disapeared is because if you are using 1/2 inch mesh on the mice the babies can squease threw the wires sense they are really small. i use to breed mice for my baby red tail but quit after they escaped there cage. i know this video has been on here for so long but hope fully you are not useing 1/2 inch mesh for the mice on top

@19rbeatty97 I took some extra 1/2 screen, the same I used as the top screen. And bent it into a cylinder. Then bend the ends up and run a wire through it to hold it in place! Kinda genius and simple at the same time lol!
your new male that you said has calics its a REX rat it means they have curly hair and wiskers and breeding them together you get really cool hairless rats. cool vid and keep it up awesome job.

So is it like a co-dominate gene that the super form is hairless? I'll be so happy if I get some hairless! They will probably be pets for people someday, Lol, TO COOL TO BE FOOD!

@rephibiankid yea all rats carry the gene its just pops out of nowhere i guess im not too familiar on the genes but same with dumbo it can just pop up and your are right when i get a hairless im going to keep it as a pet way to cool to feed off.
