Anytime I print something in LANDSCAPE mode the printer reduces it dramatically. Anyone else have this problem?

@narator0301 Hi i had the same problem and i have repaired it

1.make sure you have the driver software for the pirinter

2 you see the lttle red triangle button on the right

press it and hold it untill it reloads itself and there you go than you can sca

the problem with me is that it says error ( E ) all the time

when one of the cartridges is empty, you can not use scanner function. think twice when you buy canon's office products...

@rentanadviser that is not correct! I have this model and I can use the scanner without having ink in my cartriges.

Known Facts: you can not use scanner function under below situations;

1- at least one of the cartridges is empty or

2- at least one of the cartridges out of order or

3- at least one of the cartridges is not mounted.

4- at least one of the cartridges is refilled.

scanner function depends on the situation of the cartridges this is ridicules.

Try holding the reset/cancel button pressed for 10-20 seconds

Erasing EEPROM ink counter information can solve the problem. But this type of software currently not available for MP210 model. it is obvious that when cartridges %50~75% empty we should refill them. otherwise printer show tricky error message to encourage user to buy new cartridge (completely empty cartridges maybe damage not sure). so buying new one and combine demo cartridges with continuous cartridges feeding system is the best solution.

@rentanadviser the status of ink shouldn't have anything to do with scanning, which requires no ink unless it is printed. My color cartridge has been empty for months, and I have never had a problem, nor had to hit reset/stop or anything else.

Why don't Canon supply a USB cable with this MF device?

The set up manual glosses over this essential detail by telling you to make sure that all the items shown on the box are actually in the box..

Only when you try to install the printer do you realise there was NO PICTURE of the vital USB cable.

Gives you that nice warm feeling about Canon and their printer as you go out to try and buy a USB cable on a Sunday afternoon in the suburbs.

Why not leave out the power cable too?

I had the same problem, bet you didnt read the manuel

on the left side there's a bigger open space, thats where you slide the cartridge holder to and there is where you install the ink
