Gabe doesn't forget the words. He just changed them like he does in a bunch of songs live like The City Is At War, Guilty Pleasure and even Kiss My Sass. He just like to change it up a bit.

yeah he even drank a little on stage to ease the pain.

also, there's always mess ups with brand new songs like that. they've only played it like 3 times live. Once they get through a few more shows, they'll be able to play it backward, in a comatose state, and drunk.

lol...and the even stranger thing is that it's true. It's amazing musicians don't get tired of some of the songs. Like Panic with "I Write Sins, Not Tragedies," or FOB with Sugar.
