The idea for the disco beat came likewise from Ezrin. As David Gilmour explained in 2009:[6]

“It wasn't my idea to do disco music, it was Bob's. @macop316 Actually, I think this is the actual Pink Floyd track - just sped up. The original Floyd track is in Dm, the BeeGee track is in Fm.  This version is in Em (more or less in between). This was probably done using AutoTune or Melodyne or something similar.
