  • "I'm not a crook"!

  • what is an EOB?

  • Ron Howard’s movie changed the interviews and the history substantially. Frost did the same with the actual interviews themselves, by redoing them in this program. He chooses snippets, and gives his own views about each, leaving out important pieces that show a very different story. Between them, Howard and Frost have tried to change history. The truth is that Nixon defeated Frost easily and convincingly in the original interview, which Frost made impossible to find.

  • @JohnHay57 Bullshit. A Gallup poll conducted after the interviews aired showed that 69 percent of the public thought that Nixon was still trying to cover up, 72 percent still thought he was guilty of obstruction of justice, and 75 percent thought he deserved no further role in public life. Nixon is still reviled today. He lost.

  • @Keithed200 I don't use the communal brain of millions of baby boomers to figure out whether Frost and Howard tried to change history here - I look at the facts. Hippies revile Nixon just as terrorists revile Bush. Nixon did not "lose" to quote you. He won the presidency and he won a pardon. Hippies were the losers. First they lost the war in Vietnam for their country, and then they lost their children through drugs, lack of discipline and divorce.

  • @JohnHay57 Ok and I just presented you with the facts. The fact is the Frost Nixon interviews did nothing to "revitalize" Nixon's image at the time with the general public, which undoubtedly included people who were not baby boomers. He infamously declared "if the President does it, then it is not illegal" and essentially hung whatever chance he had to revitalize himself. I don't give a shit about your fixation on the Baby Boomers or hippies, the simple fact is Nixon lost the Frost interviews.

  • @Keithed200 Nixon cleaned the floor with Frost, who changed the interview after Nixon died, by editing the whole thing selectively, and by blabbing over it. Ron Howard’s movie changes the expression, tone of Nixon’s and Frost’s words, to make it look like Frost won. You changed his words too, which were, “When the president does it, that means that it is not illegal.” That statement is correct, when looked at in context. Nixon was fighting the fifth column, so his actions were perfectly apt.

  • @JohnHay57 And your basing that on the full unedited tapes you have seen?. Clearly that is your personal opinion and your making it out to be fact. Please do not make comments alone these lines again unless your basing it in fact and not your nut job opinion.

  • @Bateman49 I am a witness. I saw the original tapes. I saw these edited ones. I see how Frost and Howard mischievously changed the content, tone, words, facial expressions, voices, timing, volume, and thereby the meaning. A man says, “What’s that ahead on the road?” and an actor reads it as, “What’s that? A head, on the road?” Frost’s weakness was made to look like strength. Nixon’s strength was made to look like weakness. Brave words were made to appear weak, and vice versa. An elaborate hoax.

  • @JohnHay57 You were a witness? ANOTHER Deep Throat? PAAAALLLLLEEEEZZEEE

  • poor Nixon -- such a good guy

  • Did Nixon forgot to say ''hi'' to David Frost on behalf of the doctor?

  • Nixon has made China a superpower on the backs of child slave labor, he is responsible for the crazy environmental madness going on in the USA.

He was the ultimate liberal now his buddy Barrack is trying to finish off America - what a pair of liberal jerks.

  • @Ironbumm Keep your stupid, uneducated opinions out of YouTube please.

  • @TheRAJHEED As opposed to the educated comments that are generally found on YouTube - Wow you really are a dumb-ass

  • Nixon didn't tell the trusth, but he was a damn good president. He would be top 5 if it wasn't for watergate.

  • @SIMPLYTEETS haha and the popes a lesbian

  • Nixon is the biggest liar we've ever had as president. He was compulsive in this. The man was obviously not well.

  • The Doctor Says Hello, Mr. Frost.

  • @hellozainab There will be a lot of Whovians googling this fella now ;)

  • @SirhcEnit yeah for sure! I love how it's totally gotten me interested in US history now. =D

  • @SirhcEnit

    true. :D Allons-y!

  • Nixon hated john lennon, Becouse he knew Nixon was Full of shit, He spyed on the Demacrats, I dont side with a president that wont all A Man like John Lennon to

Let every know of Nixons Games..And Nixon HATED PEACENICKS, All John Lennon was see everybody live in Peace. Power To The People John!!!

  • Why do Republicans continually appear as the wacking uncle the family has to explain to the neighbors and friends? Oh, well that's just old Uncle Bill.

  • But this scandal makes him on of the worse presidents of the 20th century. Crazy how the media can affect a person. Just like Bill Clinton in 1998 and George Bush in the 2000's. Also Same with Obama

  • Crazy to think that Richard Nixon has the most years of anybody in American History politics of holding the two most powerful positions. President and Vice President of 14 years. Nixon had an good 1st term with the China visit and doing better than Johnson ever dreamed of. He had 3 years left and he was done. No need to attack like he did on the Democrats in that Hotel Sad to see how one scandal impacts a political career. I think Nixon was an ok president better than Johnson, Ford, and Carter.

  • You don't have any respect for blacks you fool. Sure if you only take into account the favors you're doing for these so-called black people working for your lazy-@ss (you bitched about blacks being lazy earlier on in the discussion) and discount your mentality that blacks should be servile to whites, then you sound hunky-dory. Unfortunately, all the racism in your mentality is existent so you that null and voids any and all of the little gifts you're getting for these black people. Got me?

  • Tonetare, contrary what you may think, I have a lot of respect for black people. For example, there is Uncle George, who picks up the dog droppings in my backyard. I bought him some chewing tobacoo for Christmas. Then there is John, who takes out my trash every week. I bought him a big cigar for Christmas. Then there is Tommy, who cooks for me and my beloved Jimmy, who does my laundry for me. I love them all and they love me too!

  • @stephenwinkler And you don't feel you're being hypocritical right now in your bitching to me about how I'm not being polite in response to your anti-black remarks that instigated this whole hostile interaction to begin with? Oh, let me guess: I being black don't have the right to be rude even out of defense to a redneck white like yourself as you are the white one between us and I am the black one; therefore, only you get to be rude and I must kindly sit back and take it. That about right?

  • @stephenwinkler And you don't think you're being hypocritical right now in your bitching to my not being kind in response to your anti-black remarks that sparked the hostility in this interaction? Oh, let me guess: because I'm not the white one as between us but rather the black one, I am in no position to show hostility out of defense against you; rather, you only get to be as hostile as you like towards me and I must kindly sit back and take it and know my place. That about right?

  • @Tonetare

I have not made one anti-black remark. You are hostile; I'm not. I'm trying to teach you; you are not ready to learn. My I make a suggestion? Take the time to read the teachings of a great Democratic Senator from the northern state of Illinois. Senator Stephen Arnold Douglas will teach you the proper relationship between white and black. I hope you learn something and then report back to me. Happy Learning!

  • @stephenwinkler would you ever consider being in an interracial relationship with a black male, Stephen? What if he loved and cared about you. Would you tell him these egregious feelings you have about servitude

  • @Tonetare I'm not gay. Black females do not turn me on. My preference is for blue-eyed blonde-haired women. I will take a burnette or a red-head. There is no physical attraction for me as far as the black race is concerned. Some brown or yellow women turn me on, but there is the language or culture barrier, that I do not want. Relationships are tough enough as it is with your own kind, without getting mixed up in a mixed relationship.

  • @Tonetare I'm not gay. Black females do not turn me on. My preference is for blue-eyed blonde women. I will take a burnett or a red-head. • @stephenwinkler Don't you think because you brought us here, you owe it to us to get romantically involved with us? I mean, we're surrounded around you people and we naturally become attracted to you sooooooooooooooooooooooo...

  • @Tonetare That is the reason for the Black Exclusion laws in the Northwest. In California, Democratic Governor Peter Hardeman Burnett supported the exclusion of "darkies" from the state. The term "darkie" was the term used by the Governor. Black people were also excluded from Oregon, Illinois, and most of the Northwest. Free states meant two things: (1) free from slavery; (2) free from black people.

  • @stephenwinkler Dang! Smarty pants over here is able to pull out exact names and records of what certain people did. lol! I have to give it to you for that. lol! But anyway, can you explain that in a little more detail. I don't understand what you mean really. Is what you're saying that where blacks were free, they weren't allowed to go near white people but were ostracized to lower-class ghetto areas or something so as to prevent interracial marriages. Man! What a nightmare!

  • @Tonetare Democratic Governor Burnett ordered black people tied to a whipping post to be flogged by the cat o'tails, which leaves permanent scares on your back. The Black Exclusion Law of California did not allow blacks to live in the State of California and if caugth, then they were to be flogged by the cat. Black exclusion laws did not allow black people to live in the Northwestern states like Illinois nor in the new state of Oregon.

  • @stephenwinkler I really did not know all that about Burnett and this whipping post he created. That's grossly intriguing. LoL! And look at this situation: a semi-racist white person like yourself knows even more than my ass. I'm the one who should be informing all of this to the racist. So in what year was this black exclusion act enacted and annulled. Let's see how much your intelligence on these subject spans to. haha! Hey! One question! I am just wondering how someone with ur awareness can

  • @Tonetare be so racist. You know more than me for crying out loud. I understand you've had it rough though. Getting to knw more and more about you, I'm seeing that you have a lot of reason to be misanthropic and bitter but I just don't understand why you are in regards to race as well.

  • @Tonetare, The State of Oregon repealed their black exclusion law in 1926. Governor Burnett was governor only until 9 January 1851 and with his resignation, the law went with him. Lieutenant Governor John McDougall, the new governor was more interested in drinking, than excluding black people from the state. However, his excessive drinking led to gambling. The governor often lost and accused the winner of cheating. This often led to duelling. The Dems did not nominate him for a second term.

  • @stephenwinkler Boy oh boy! You are a wealth of information. Did you recently look this stuff up or do you just know this? And if so, where'd you learn it? Btw, I actually enjoyed my date tonight. Who would have thought that after a lifetime of flops in the dating scene, tonight would have been my night. You must be my good luck charm. The guy was sweet and charming and we totally hit it off. I am so happy right now. For more elaboration on that e-mail me as that's kind of a private issue.

  • @Tonetare I like to learn. I'm constantly doing research for my teaching, tutoring, and I'm writing a book. I love to educate people and share knowledge and encourge them to seek facts to confirm my statements and verify them. Today, I was terribly angry at Dennis Miller on Fox News. Miller said that Jimmy Carter was a failure as a president, but never backed it up with facts. He said Carter was so bad, that he was attacked by a swimming rabbit. I do not want jokes. I want facts.

  • @stephenwinkler I think you were bluffing in all those racist comments. I think you're really a good guy and well-informed. You were just in one of your crummy misanthropic moods. You have changed my original perception of you so drastically. As of right now, you have me right here encouraging you to become a teacher and share your wisdom with us young idiots. I used to want to become a teacher, but then I realized you have to know something (lol) and it takes much longer in college than 4 years

  • @Tonetare But you sound like you know an ample amount of info and you sound very much college- educated. What did you get your degree in if you don't mind my asking? I know you grew up with very little support financially and parentally so I don't know how you would have got to college but there is no way you can be as smart and level-headed as you are. You are a success story either way as far as I'm concerned. Wholeheartedly agree with you on Jimmy Carter. Just from what little I know about

  • @Tonetare him, he strikes me as an upstanding, very respectable man. I very much appreciate people like Jimmy Carter and yea, they wouldn't like a guy like him at all on FOX News. Haha! I don't imagine anything about Jimmy Carter on that channel being complimentary. lol! :D

  • @Tonetare Did you know, that sometime relationships between white people and black people living in the South, were warm and affectionate? Masters and slaves would fall in love with each other and produce children. Thomas Jefferson fell in love with his slave girl, Sarah, and they had children. The racial purists in Germany prevented interracial reproduction by extermination. The racial purists in America prevented interracial reproduction by black exclusion laws.

  • @stephenwinkler Sorry on the delay in response Stephen. Been busy with hectic last-minute Christmas shopping. Oiy! What a nightmare. But anyways, while I never had any firsthand information of anything like that about slave masters and slave girls but I can definitely see it as being possible and likely happening. I mean, slavery went on for 4 centuries and among a bunch of blacks so, I'm sure all kinds of stuff happened but for the most part I think it was unacceptable as the slave girls were

  • @Tonetare, the important thing to remember is that while the South wanted to keep blacks down in slavery, the Northwest wanted to keep blacks out of the West. Free states meant two things: freedom from slavery and freedom from free blacks living there in equality. Free blacks were permitted to live in the Northeast, but were forbidden to vote in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Some states in New England were more liberal. MERRY CHRISTMAS!

  • @Tonetare helpless and likely scared of the master's negative consequences such as the ability to make the slave girls life a living hell very easily, having so much power over her. Not to mention, I bet the age ranges was very different, that is, the master was likely 50 or older and the slave girls they chose were probably in their teens or twenties. Not much blacks could do even if there was pedophilia. While I promote interracial today, I simply cannot see it as a good thing back then

  • north vs. the south. It has to do with how the entire south relied heavily on anti-black slavery. The entire structure of the south couldn't have run without slavery because southern whites were so poor. That's why lazy-@ss southern whites were willing to put together a full-fledged American Civil War and battle to the death for five long years because that's how much they relied on black slaves, OTHERWISE THERE WOULD HAVE BEEN NO AMERICAN CIVIL WAR, YOU FOOL! Blacks supported the south

  • US Presidents & others are nothing but HOLLYWOOD pawns, PUPPETS for the centralized bankers & these wars ALL wars for centuries do nothing but fatten THEIR pockets while humanity DIES....MANY Presidents....MANY have been murdered to perpetuate their profits WORLDWIDE. WE HAVE BEEN DUPED HUMANITY! IS humanity NEXT on their "Hit List" ????? WHAT IF they started a war & NOBODY came.... this is what humanity should work towards KILL THE BEAST!

  • Say whatever you want.

It took Nixon to go to China.

  • nixon was a stinky crook!

  • @all those who replied( sorry forgot my pass, so change of name): yep, many of you have reason...Especially, as a president, Nixon should have been more aware of the result of his decision he made at that time...He was, of course, not a child given the power of the country to play with...And I suppose those who have went through the problems he created will know better than me what harm he caused...I just don't judge him...

  • Whoever thinks Nixon is a great president is just ignorant. Nixon created murder of a massive scale in Cambodia and deceived the American people. A lot of people don't know what this man has done and that is why he resigned. he resigned so he wouldn't be impeached and convicted, because if he was; they would research and find all his evil he has committed. If you don't know your facts and you just say he's a great man than your just a moron.

  • @BleachedSin

The only mass murder, that I'm aware is the mass murder by Pol Pot and the Communists. If I was president, I do the same things Nixon did with complete relish. Nixon was the greatest Republican president we ever had and I would vote for him again. Certainly much better, than what we got in there now.

  • @stephenwinkler Who is this silly little man?

  • @dowling1981 Must be the silly little cat you have posted on your channel. Opps! I forgot! It's Halloween!

  • @stephenwinkler What's wrong with the cat?

  • @dowling1981

I just like cats, better than most people I know. They do not use any bad language, all they say is "meow!" They do not come here illegally, nor make a mess of the presidency. The more I know people, the better I like cats.

  • @stephenwinkler I am glad that you respect them. Your initial comment poured disdain on our feline brethren, ken?

  • @dowling1981

I did not mean any disrespect. I make sure, Rusty, my cat, claws me extra hard, the next time we play. You know he draws blood, with his sharp claws. Gives me an opportunity to check my blood sugar level, without having to "polk" or "pierce" myself.

  • @stephenwinkler That is a fine service he bestows upon you, and he will be respected for it. I have two cats, and they seem to be hungry all the time, and only eat the cat food that costs the most in the shop. What kind of cat have you?

  • @dowling1981

An orange tabby, just like Thomasina in the Disney movie.

  • @stephenwinkler I ken not this film. When did you portain it?

  • I know he had to have had terrible karma(cambodia, vietnam.......) and he was aarogant and greedy....but there is something intreaging about him.Like, he never knew what really mattered in life.Normally I'd be sympathetic to someone like him, but because of him lives we're shattered from his presidency makes him unforgivable. All i can do is pitty him.

  • Nixon's paranoia destroyed him but, he was a good president. He established normal relations with China, won over Egypt making Camp David possible. He established the Environmental Protection Agency. He had anti Semitic attitudes but he may have saved Israel during the Yom Kippur War. I was commissioned a 2nd Lt in 1970 but I didn't go to Viet Nam because Nixon had just taken 300,000 troops out. A complicated man but I believe History will judge him kindly

  • Sadly, watergate was the least of Nixon's crimes. Just the one that brought him down

  • Nixon is a human like everybody else who made mistakes like EVERYBODY else. Ppl were hypocrites back then for judging him for what he did. Sure he made big mistakes,..but so did of alot of presidents also. look @ carter, now THAT was a big miss.

  • best us president of all time

  • Nixon Fuck.

ALL YOU NEED IS LOVE. John Lennon won.

  • I watch the reenactment of this interview

of the movie frost nixon. truly historical

  • I miss "epic" frauds :)

  • Bull shit! pricks just trying to sell their dvd

  • Tricky Dick!

  • just another republican piece of trash.

No respect for republicans until they have respect for America.

  • @mizilus I second that towards liberals. Liberal pieces of trash. No respect for liberals until they have respect for America.

  • He was still a good president in hard times, made a BAD mistake. Look at fkn Clinton, he got sucked up in the fkn white house. Come on now.

  • I DON'T CARE ABOUT NIXON. WHY DOES THIS KEEP SHOWING UP IN MY RECOMMENDATIONS?!

sorry for caps...but as you can i'm a bit pissedd off

  • you faget

  • President Nixon is a fucking Dickhead, i want to my dick into his mouth! A bunch of fucking babies killer. I know you died already, soon your boy William Laws Calley come and visit you. I would to shit all over you guys graves. Motherfucker Babies killer...

  • nixon is my cousin

  • tes

  • was george w bush any better?

  • I mention Nixon in The History Song.

  • ah dont listen to that aussie, you were the boss in your day

  • There needed to be an interview like this with Bush about 9/11

  • An interesting and sad bit of history.

  • Does Richard Nixon have teepee for my bunghole?

  • corrupt sonovabitch, USA have had a fucking nightmare finding presidents that worked properly during the vietnam war period.. well, it was a crappy period anyway..

  • Only difference between Nixon and Obama is that Obama has the media on his side. He is more corrupt than Nixon could ever dream of being.

  • where do you get that information? Your parents? Well, seen from the outside world, obama is one of the best presidents the last decades, close to Clinton. If you think hes corrupt, so be it, but its a small fee to pay for a descent president

  • @theTdawgYo wtf yea clinton great president he only lied to the whole of america to there faces, tell me has obama followed through on his promises to the american people???

  • @kingston0708 about fucking another woman? well, I think he was a good president and I dont give a shit about who he slept with.. Btw, Obama has done ALOT on 1 year, at first I was pretty sceptical but he has won me over.. it seems like all americans dislike him while the rest of the world thinks he's great, maybe because all the focus of americans is on shit he doesn't get through. Anyway, yeah, I think he has followed alot of his promises, and I dont think anyone could do a better job :)

  • @theTdawgYo do you know that he is planning to disarm the american people and that will be another one of your rights took away from you, wait a year or two and then see what you tthink of him then

  • @theTdawgYo obama wasnt even born in usa, wheres his birth certificate? oh and hes also a muslim.

  • @kingston0708 Do you think G. Bush was a better president because he had a freakin birth certificate and because he was a christian? Come on man, his job is to lead a country, the most powerful country in the world infact, and you shouldn't have religion or ethnic background as the main criteria.. He is an amazing speaker and damn a good "do'er" aswell. (Wow, that sounds weird..) Still, give him the chance, he has earned it and as you see from what you said, America IS changing!

  • @theTdawgYo bush was terrible president he never investigated 9/11 neither will obama by the way, i assume you are american and if so what would the founding fathers of the usa say about obama being president? id say they would be pissed off that a non american can become president, as ive said the usa are losing their freedoms as we speak

  • @kingston0708 : believe me when i tell you the founding fathers have been rolling over in their graves for decades over what has become of this country, the USA.

  • @theTdawgYo Earned it? You have to be an Obama worshiper to make such a statement. Obama was chosen because he is black enough to pass as black. Plus he is a far left wing liberal socialist to boot. As far as earning it, Obama earned nothing, his experience is limited to community organizing. The time was right for a black socialist with a silver tongue and Obama fit the bill. Too bad he will go down as the worst president in US history, and to add to the embarrassment, he is BLACK.

  • @FLHotrodcop : i agree....Obama has to be the least experienced president that ever occupied the white house. He had far less experience than President John F. kennedy

  • @kingston0708 I love birthers almost as much as i love tea baggers, you make the rest of us so sane its ridiculous. Keep guessing, where WAS he born????? LOVE IT!

  • @johnnycash1 i am sane and i know obama wasnt born in usa and that is a fact, most of you americans are so dumbed down it is unbelievable, his real name is barry soetoro google that

  • @theTdawgYo : how can you say any president is the best president in decades when he has only been in office for what 1 year?

  • @inkey2 how can they say he's the worst?

  • @theTdawgYo : well, thats just it.....they really can't say he is the worst. As most historians say...."you can't judge any president till almost 20 years after they have left office". Time gives you a better perspective to compare a president. For example....nixon was absolutely hated while he was in office.....but over time people are realizing that he wasn't that bad....and did some good things as well

  • @inkey2 yeah exactly.. its silly and ignorant to judge a president this early, and its a mistake many people do. Understandable in these hard times tho', I believe, as a personal oppinion, that in time, most americans will open their eyes for obama. But, you know, what do I know? he could turn out to be a horrible president, but as you say.. time will show ;)

  • yep someone who knows what is really happening in the world

  • Great President

  • Better than the one we have now, or had in the late 90's

  • If you were offered the money that Nixon was to accept this interview, you would do it and you would deal with the consequences. Money, money, money.

  • @NYerintransit

Wow, really? This is why public education ruins people. You obviously saw that on the movie "Frost/nixon" and have assumed it to be a legitimate insight, into one of the most enigmatic figures of our time.

Movies are not to be learnt from people, just watched. Open a book for Christ's sake, and give wikipedia a rest.

  • @Mccnuget Please elaborate, you mentioned Wikipedia, and also that movies are to be watched and not learnt from, does it mean it is okay to watch a movie about 911 and not learn anything from it? Are there double standards in your statements?

  • @NYerintransit he was more interested in clearing his name and showing people his side of the story. he figured david frost was some british talk show host and not a real journalist. he could chew him up and spit him out like it was nothing. and for the first 2 days he did. until the final day. frost took the gloves off. He was more concerned about his rep. i mean the man lived in a mansion and had enough money to last him a lifetime. don't think he needed any more.

  • @dcs2608 and where did peace with china get the usa? LOL

  • such interviews sadly dont happen anymore or get banned from the gouvernment

  • Nixon had errors but hje was human at least he was man enough to admited that he screw up.

  • By todays standards, Richard.M. Nixon was probably one of the most honest statesmen the world has ever had!

  • I totally agree, What alot of people refuse to see is that Nixon did a lot of great things as president but because of the bias media people never get to hear about them.I wonder if it was Ted Kennedy instead of Richard Nixon, would woodward and Berinstein be so ambitious to nail the President? Defently not.

  • If this had been ANY Democrat, Woodward and Bernstein, the networks, the NY Times, no one in the media would have given any time to the story at all. They all hated Nixon. They wanted to get him, period. I'm not saying what Nixon did was right, just saying the media had target lock on him. When one looks at what LBJ and Kennedy got away with, Nixon looks like a Catholic school boy.

  • absolutely, and Im not a Republican but I am an Independent/capitalist and I always thought that Nixon got a bad rap. Im not saying that what he did was right either but you're right, the media has always been bias and they have always talked down to people in an elitest fashion.ill go one further and say that Nixon was one of our best presidents but the progressive/liberal media had it in for him.and let me repeat that Im not a Republican...

  • And I suppose Fox News is fair and unbiased? This news network has given Sarah Palin a platform to launch her presidency bid by giving her a gig on the station. Why not give a spot to a demacrat?

  • It's true that fox leans to the right but they are the only news network that does. What about msnbc? at least fox has liberals on their programs to show both sides, but it's no secret that fox is conservative. All the other networks lean left and have been for over 70 years. 80% of media is liberal fox is the only one with a different view. mind you I think that both sides are silly with their bias. Jon stewart mocks both sides for that. But Nixon really didn't get fair media treatment ever.

  • First off, palin would never win the presidency, Second at least fox news bashes the right party unlike nbc or cnn

  • @capitolguy106 Bob Woodward was and is a registered Republican, so please stuff the big ol'mean media B.S.

Also please enlighten us as to what LBJ and JFK did that was worse than obstruction of justice

  • Would it kill the poster to combine the 40 second or 2 minute interview clips into one 7 minute clip? And also to the sad italian alexcalaio who asks "what was Watergate?". My response is: its called WIKIPEDIA. You have to type in less letters into Wikipedia to find the answer. God, you'd think we live in 15th century Africa the way people leave other people questions in the sand like this. JUST TYPE WATERGATE INTO WIKIPEDIA RETARD.

  • hi i'm alessandro and i'm from italy...i'm sorry for my english... :) i'm very confused for "the Watergate" can anyone explain me what was that in a shortly answer? i hope in a yours aswer(in my private mail) thank u very much

  • I am not an American, but hey, all people make mistakes, yeah? Small ones to big one. We are afterall all human beings. Not robots. And we do have impulses and wants and so on. Nixon was a great President as many other Presidents in the whole world. What he did, was difficult if not impossible to accomplish in an era of discord among his own people, let alone with other countries. I am not saying he is innocent, but certainly not that guilty as many branded him to be.

  • Do more research. Nixon was an anti-semetic sociopath. I am an American, and he embarrassed himself in front of the entire country.

  • @77Dhanush he is completely guilty, he was a paranoid old git. He commited crimes no others have done, he was practically gulity of genecide

  • @77Dhanush i just don't like the fact that people hate nixon's guts for his scandal, yet still want bill clinton as president again regardless of his own scandal

  • @77Dhanush He was part of a cover-up, broke the law, and they let him slip out the back door and even pardonned him... Now I would think that being president of the United States comes with a great deal of responsability. If we're not allowed to break the law then don't you think the president should reflect that obligation? I do, but he got away with it, plain and simple.

  • @77Dhanush Listien . when your a president. you have to understand your representing a whole nation. If you cant put personal greed aside for the principal of being a good role model , you shouldnt have run in the first place. For fools like you to leave such silly comments saying we all make mistakes in unacceptable. Mistakes are without intention. This fool know extactly what he was doing . It is criminal Unaccetable. Dont ever make such a silly baseless comment again.

  • @yourboycal lying under oath is also criminal. so i hope you feel the same way about clinton.

  • @77Dhanush

i think this comment has to be flagged as spam.

you cant see the dimensions of a Presidente breaking the Law.

if he does. anything can do it without guilty.

    then...only caos

also, why 13 likes?,,, are you insane people?

  • @77Dhanush yeah ... I´m 100% with you. Clinton was a BIG lier, Bush, Obama too.

They hated Johnson and Nixon because they´re a bunch of cowards against the Vietnam War. So when the president sucks a White House official isn´t lie?

    camadai ... U R the insane here.

  • @77Dhanush There are no degrees of guilt, you are either guilty or not guilty, and he was guilty. A lifetime of achievments don't overshadow or minimize the wrong doings of a person, if so, then Hitler should be considered the greatest chancellor germany has ever seen as of today. It doesn't work that way, what Nixon did right, he did it because it was his duty, what he did wrong he did it by his own choice, no one asked him to.

  • @77Dhanush something you need to understand about Americans, then, is regardless of what our leaders have done, when they lie to us and get caught in a lie, they get crucified. That's why Kennedy is looked at as such a hero, when the Bay of Pigs happened he didn't deny, he admitted the mistake. Nixon's foreign policy triumphs will always be overshadowed by his domestic failures.

  • @77Dhanush In the grand scheme of things the whole Watergate thing was quite small. What was Nixon trying to listen in on at Watergate? Campaign strategies of his Democrat opponent.

  • @77Dhanush I don't think you should completely exonerate Nixon because "all people make mistakes" Yes he made a mountain of mistakes, but in his situation he shouldn't have. Nixon was in an extreme position of power, and it's naive to pretend that he didn't completely and knowingly abuse his power. While he may not be as guilty as some think, he's definitely not as innocent as you seem to believe. But ultimately there is guilty and not guilty, and Nixon was definitely guilty.

  • @az986656557567 Nixon accomplished good, such as opening dialogue with Russia and China, and saved us from the liberal Democrats, whose social policies in the 1960's led to riots and burning cities. I do not excuse his illegal activities, but I note that he was not the first, nor was he the last, U.S. President to engage in such actions, and his successors (e.g. George W. Bush) have been far more malign and stupid.

  • @az986656557567

Not in my America, no sir. You are not guilty until proven so.

  • @77Dhanush i agree fully people do make mistakes. but this man's mistakes cost tens of thousands of people their lives. he set America into a perpetual meltdown. He on top of that committed crimes and did what he could to cover them up. in the end he was pardoned and got away free. without David frost i don't think the American people would have got what they needed. they wouldn't have finally felt resolved on it all. we still feel the affects of Vietnam today and it's been over 30 to 40 years.

  • @tinkywinkyman i agree with you tinkywinky :-) sorry for my comments...

  • @77Dhanush mmmm yehhh cheating the american people, sending them into a war they wouldnt win, yehhhh he was a real fucking great president wasn't he?? Fuck the Republicans man!

  • @77Dhanush

I don't care about Watergate. Nixon took the US dollar off the gold standard and started a rolling snowball of debt which has balloned into trillions of dollars. That scumbag ruined our currency and its no "mistake."

  • USA will soon enter the Western civilized world, when the health care system is in place. Exit the middle ages and Europe will welcome you to the club of developed countries. America as a country has a lot of problems, but in 10 years, when it's lost its super power status, I think I and the rest of the world will start liking the US. They just have to change the flag, the eagle and the whole branding which is tainted by its bloated and egoist past.

  • @SouvenirGoodBand

My country is better than your country. Haha.

Seriously, we are a nation of imperfect people but ours is the finest system of government ever implemented on Earth.

    Love ya

  • I'm an American and I really have to disagree, yes the freedoms we have are the best but our government is one fucked up mess, on one side we have a bunch of slow-minded money hungry religious (religion is one of the main problems) liars and on the other a bunch of weak idiots..our health care system sucks and our minds are wrapped up in stupid bullshit

  • @porkymania90 I think everything you said here was pretty on point but I want to turn it around and say that our government is jacked but despite that we are one hell of a country.

  • @billtheamerican Do you know how I know you don't have a passport? Have you heard of Canada, or the UK, or Australia or a half dozen other European countries? Just where in rural Texas DO you live? Try reading about other countries. Some of them have more freedom than you do RETARD.

  • Do I know you don't have a passport? Do you know what colour socks I am wearing? What? Rural Texas? Some of them have more freedom? THEM? Are you, my friend, living under oppression?

I believe our system of government is the best primarily because it is designed to reign in the evil proclivities of man - the proclivities which all too commonly manifest when men (or women) find themselves in power.

  • The most basic principle on which ouir government is founded is that government is established and has a right to continue primarily to protect rights and freedoms given by G-d. We do not demand that everyone agree on a description of G-d - that is a freedom we protect - but out nation was based on the idea that G-d has endowed all men with certain rights and governments are instituted to protect those rights.

  • explain why we can't keep people out of the USA.....they're lined up waiting to get in.

  • America was founded based upon a strong sense of self-individualism- something i see fading away everyday. Tell me this, who is the stronger person- the one who is able to support himself and his family or the one who must rely on the government?

Personally, i believe that all forms of socialism should be eliminated. The government should only serve one purpose-to protect the people.

I suggest you read John Locke's Second Treatise.

  • Riiight. I think I would have the world superpower be a demoratic country like the U.S.

And not a communist country like China, where they dont let you play World of Warcraft and kill college student protesters.

Using different methods then you doesnt make us un-civilized. In the matter of fact, we are the ones that began the age of Western Civilization. But as usual, Europeans are tired of us on the throne. Jealousy gleams off you people like a fucking beacon.

  • are you saying that someone who argues on Youtube is a Homosexual?
