I've just learned of Boyd Rice and his music, and I'm fascinated. But to be honest, I really don't get it; I need some explanation, because this style is not something I'm familiar with. Not to sound crude, but what is the "point" of this music, or rather, what message is Boyd trying to convey? I want to be able to enjoy this music as much as I possibly can, but It's too confusing for me to genuinly appreciate just yet. If someone could share some insight, I'd be thankful.

@willyrobinson From what I hear, it's the only cross found in the Roman catacombs. Others say there are other crosses there. I don't know since I've never been there but I would at least assume there are swastikas down there and probably predate the other crosses. There's depictions of Jesus as an Old Testament figure and as Orpheus. Almost no depictions from the New Testament since it wasn't written yet so these early Christians must have been very different.

I got to meet Boyd last sunday after he performed at the echo in LA. He seemed like a genuinely nice guy. The show didn't sell out but seemed well attended and was great.
