  • First thanks for posting!! I saw Brainiac at a small club in Philadelphia called Khyber Pass and they were incredible. I am probably much older than most of the people commenting, but back then I thought they took a lot of the energy of (Duty Now era ) Devo and came up with their own unique and very much original take.

  • Did someone down there v just compare pink reason to brainiac? Hahah.. I love Kevin and all but cmon!

  • wow I just became a fan 30 seconds ago

  • in true beavis and butt-head style, "YESSSS!"

  • Oh, man...what I'd give to see Timmy Taylor in action. Truly a lost hero.

  • RIP Tim Taylor! We miss & Love u

  • the drummer is totally rushing the tempo

  • True.

  • are you saying it was a bad thing?

  • well yeah. it sounds bad. i'm not saying brainiac sucks. i'm a drummer myself and its easy to get carried away playing live with all the adrenaline pumping

  • Oh how I miss them...

  • Brainiac lives on in the band Enon, everybody....search some of their stuff, too.

  • They did until Rick Lee left. Then they turned into Toko Pop

  • Who do you think you are? Some kinda...[funny, me] I love John to death, but I gotta reluctantly agree somewhat with you.. though you can't dismiss everything she's pulled out of her marvelous little hat: High Society and that Lost Marbles collection have some pristine deliciousness on them. I still stand by the opinion that Believo! is the best album Brainiac never recorded.

  • @WeMustBeStopped It'll never be the same without Tim.

  • @ignignot765 I know.

  • this is before my time i would love to see them, i'm so jealous!!

  • I wish there were some Hissing Prigs era live vids... anyone know where I can find braniac bootlegs?

  • To the creme of the elite weirdos of the last decade. Wish there was more to see

  • i love this song.

Bonsai Superstar is one of my favorite albums ever, thanks por posting this!

  • seriously ahead of their time. rip tim.

  • totally agree. you surely have great music taste.Respect from Sicily

  • I first saw these "Gods on Earth" live when they opened for Jesus Lizard in Chicago. Was it 1994? First I was confused, then I was scared, then I was shocked, and finally I was in love. They just don't make bands like Brainiac any more.

  • holy shit! that must have been the best show ever!

you guys are so lucky you got to grow up with this stuff, seriously

  • Yeah, I am lucky. But, the underground/indie scene(s) currently are just as amazing. Shit, have you heard VEE DEE, Wax Museums, The Spits, The Yolks, Jay Reatard, Pink Reason, Mannequin Men, etc. etc. etc.? Go out tonight and witness rock and roll history!

  • Oh wow! You are from Norway!? That is brilliant! My whole ancestry begins in Roros. I hope to live their one day.

  • Yes, one of the best live shows I ever saw. V89 (wvfs tallahassee) birthday bash, I think I was a freshman, '96. Totally knocked everyone out. Nobody has made this sound since. Like ? and the Mysterians heavy metal disco baby from the x-files sperm bank.

  • Well said! Awesome!

  • how come they never rocked this hard on record...?

  • Great!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Thanks for sharing!!!!

  • These guys were aliens. Love them!

  • Saw them live in London, supporting BvsG I think. Awesome - friend and I still talk about that show.

  • no way im propper jealous

  • no way im propper jealous

  • rip timmy, the music world is waiting for yr return

  • yup, actually eli janney pretty much brought them to us

  • vocals are incredible.

  • Thanks so much for this. I wish someone could post some later Hissing Prigs stuff, but this is way awesome, even if the crowd are so obviously just waiting for whoever is headlining. Losers.

  • What a band!! I remember seeing them open for Jesus Lizard in NYC. I had never heard of them. I WAS BLOWN AWAY! Went out the next morning and bought every CD.

  • dude, same here. Irving Plaza, NYC. Had no fucking clue what I was seeing/hearing until they closed w/"Nothing Ever Changes." Then I realized they were the greatest band in the world.

  • who are those zombies infront the stage?

eheheh... this remind me the shock for all those people when they saw

the first show of Jimmy Hendrix....they didn't understand what happened....eheheh...I really miss brainiac.

By the way thanks a lot mcwebwe for adding this pearl

  • i made that exact comment in the video for To the baby counter.
