@jehzellful They do not work. If the device they are using is strong enough the RF signal will penetrate the little thin lead-based lining. Also this only works with chipped cards. If your cards does not have a chip, you have nothing to worry about. Call your bank and ask if your card has an RFID, it is not visible from the outside and I believe they stopped making them due to obvious security concerns.

Nearly all account holders are insured by the banks, so they would get the money back anyway, doesnt mean its ok but why do you care that the bank is being robbed they have stolen from the average joe since they were invented.
@urban22s you know WHO DOES NOT get the money BACK? is the business owner who is hit with a chargeback from the real credit card holder ...the bank gives the money back to the cardholder, but does not give it back to the business, the business just lost $25 chargeback fee, and the entire amount of the sale, including any items he/she sold, or anything they gave away for free (food) at a restaurant.

@jehzellful They do not work. If the device they are using is strong enough the RF signal will penetrate the little thin lead-based lining. Also this only works with chipped cards. If your cards does not have a chip, you have nothing to worry about. Call your bank and ask if your card has an RFID, it is not visible from the outside and I believe they stopped making them due to obvious security concerns.

Nearly all account holders are insured by the banks, so they would get the money back anyway, doesnt mean its ok but why do you care that the bank is being robbed they have stolen from the average joe since they were invented.

@urban22s you know WHO DOES NOT get the money BACK? is the business owner who is hit with a chargeback from the real credit card holder ...the bank gives the money back to the cardholder, but does not give it back to the business, the business just lost $25 chargeback fee, and the entire amount of the sale, including any items he/she sold, or anything they gave away for free (food) at a restaurant.

@cyndrellian I doubt what you say is true in majority of cases. Maybe if the business owners system was to blame for the fraud in the beginning possibly. But in other cases that wouldn't happen. If you slide your card at McDonald on Tuesday and Thursday your CC# was hacked and used doesn't mean that McDonald's would suffer after everything was set right. Think before you type.
