Letting any one starve to death for any reason is wrong! I have seen this frist hand and its not a pretty site. If she would have been an animal she would have been humanely euthanized but then again she could take food by mouth so someone should have took the time to feed her,she could smile and fallow with her eyes. she should have been humanely euthanized. As in killed no pain no more suffering not starved to death and deprived water. For me personally, if i am ever in her position please just kill me. Don't let me "live" a "life" like that, but don't make me suffer by just removing my feeding tube an allowing me to die slowly. What the hell is wrong with people?

@2TimothyChapter2 I did until the point where he says Terri kissed her mother back. That is not true, I have watched tons of material with staments from her mother and she's always made it clear that she never got a response from Terri beyond a smile and some sort of awarness, so that my friend is a lie. In any event, this is not a documentary, this is preaching at its best, so you may want to reconsider the title of your video because this is by far a "real" story.

All I'm saying is that people should not be hating her husband for making a dicission to switch off the machine. he knew full well that his wife was brain dead and her body was just there, pumping blood and 'digesting food' for nothing.

That was NOT murder! The woman was already dead. How was she alive when they had to have a tube down her neck for food? that was not living. That was people being selfish and not letting her die.

@2TimothyChapter2 well i guess that depends on what your definition of alive is. i mean if never being conscious or make any conscious movements is alive to you then i guess. she was a hollow shell. she wasn't in a coma, she was a vegi. It would be like someone who had their leg amputated and everyone sat there saying that they shouldn't give him crutches or a prosthetic because the leg might grow back. She was gone, her brain was mostly liquid. no disrespects to anyone's beliefs but get real.

@2TimothyChapter2 i don't know her background or any other useless info. i know she had a CA that led to major brain damage. after "waking" from the coma it was clear she was in a pers. vegetative state. Her brain was mostly liquid. i know more but that's honestly all you need to know. from that little bit of info any reasonable person knows that she isn't going to come around and she's not there. I mean no offense to anyone but it really is like the amputee situation i gave you.

@2TimothyChapter2 no thanks its too long for me. not going to watch a video that clearly has a religious/belief base bias towards why she would live. scientifically it's clear that she wasn't coming back, that's all you need to know. if you want to have a belief that she could have that's fine, just don't get it mistaken with reality. the reality is she was and is gone and never had a shot at coming back. @waters129 next time you think of suicide you should call an assistance - people who (by low) will make sure you kill yourself. I had depression and I know what sort of thoughts is goin through your mind when you suffer. But then you get rays of hope every once in a while, when you're back thinking straight and you say: thank God I didn't do it. It can be 5 mins in every month, but luckly is strong enough to keep you alive, cos will of life is stronger than anything.

What the husband did was not immoral. When families decide to pull the ventilator on a family who is unresponsive, they are just shortening the inevitable.
