Denis nails it when he says people want a spectacle for their money. Its the same in the west end in London. All the big productions like wicked and Queen are right out front and centre. Where as plays such as the Woman in Black and Waiting for Goddot are tucked away. Which is a shame because I think if you want call yourself a theatre lover, its these smaller plays you should go and see. Just because they arent visually spectacular doesnt mean they arent spectacular!
