This is the worst short film of all. Iñaritu is very overrated.

Este es el peor corto de los 11 de la "pelicula". Iñaritu está muy sobrevalorado, quizá porque no hay muchos cineasteas en méxico, o bien, la prensa no ha volteado a verla. El corto de Sean Pean es el mejor por mucho, en todos los sentidos.

@pamjaikel The music of the short was composed by Osvaldo Golijov & Gustavo Santaolalla (either together or each a different part, I don't know), played by the Kronos Quartet (if you live in the UK, they'll play it in Barbican in Jan. 2012), Gustavo Santaolalla and Luanne Warner and is, quite conveniently, called "Darkness".

Thanks for posting this great video. But, hey: what happened to the last important seconds, when the two texts explode simultaneously (like two horizontal WTC) and everything is drowned in light? That piece is essential for the understanding of the film.

Qué tiene de malo llegar al espectador a través de las emociones? Eso es el objetivo de toda buena historia. Si no le encuentras el sentido o relación a la frase final, pues bueno... está muy clara. Yo tampoco soy fan de González Iñarritu pero este corto me parece especialmente bueno. :) Saludos.

But down the line of history, things far worse have happened, many times. With more losses of life.

This one was a disapointment to me. The whole idea of the movie was to look at the tragedy with the eyes of people from different countries and coultures. How did this reflect any coulture or viewpoint? You couldn't know it's Mexico without the name and the infobox.

The horrific thing of this movie is, that because of just hearing the sounds with short pictures flashing, your own remebers come in to your head and you remember the day in that way you felt that day.

This film is supposed to be dark. Its supposed to be about the audio for the most part. And the sound (the thud) you hear is actually the sound of bodies hitting the ground. It is a chilling, and moving piece.  Thank you for putting it out there!
