He was truly on fire on this tour ...saw him in Atlanta ....and actually got his autograph and a handshake in 1979!!!! amazing version his control and taste is what makes him a legend and of course the tone ...the note selection ...like Jeff Beck says once Eric plays a blues ...where can you go from that ????
Not to be pedantic but Freddie did not wrote this, as it says it the notes.
Codyz Guitar, it was better than i ever thought i would be, when you see him get into a solo then get taken away by it and then proceed to take it up lvl after like EC knows how :)
Was lucky to see Eric 3 times in a row on New Yrs. Held at Woking for the AA, all hush hush really but i tell you, being one of Ec's deepest fans it was spell-binding seeing him with a crowd of 200 and being at the front of the stage! gary Brooker was there, Fairweather, and the ' from the Cradle' crew. Was there with three good friends, literally 10 feet away from him 2 of us guitarists and we couldn't help but0 cry at how good he really is. Just thought i would share that.
great version

He's so tuned-in to what he's doing that he & the guitar become one.

Screw 'Tears In Heaven' with its 13 million views. This should be there instead.
Nobody has any taste these days.
