@frostek When the protein molecule laminin is isolated.. it only comes in one layout. It forms the perfect shape of a cross. When the molecule is binding other substances together.. the other molecules bring adjusted form to the original structure of laminin.

His death benefited us because He was a sinless person.Back in the old old times (like Moses) they would sacrifice lambs because they were spotless animals.Jesus was God's only son. Hello, maybe if you have some questions the best thing I could suggest would be to do an Alpha course. Very Informative on questions such as the one above including many many others connected to the Christian faith. Well,we sinned against God when we rejected Him, and because God is infinitely Holy(since He is the creator, not the created)we had to get punished infinitely...but because He loved us so much,He sent His Holy,sinless Son to die instead of us.Cuz no one can repay a debt for anyone else unless they are debt free. i am not going crazy about God because this cell is shaped like a cross. I am crazy about God due to the fact that on a cross 2,000 years ago a man names Jesus died for my sin so i could live again. This cell is just a little reminder to man that He is what holds us together. And that without Him we wouldnt be and couldnt be anything. (and before you ask i wasn't born and rasied in church i was a sinner to but one day i thought that there had to be something more and i found it in Him.)
That's pretty sick of god putting the CROSS all throughout our bodies, and supposedly Jesus' body too, as He was made of flesh! Like just so Jesus doesn't forget. God: "Remember that cross you died on Son? Well I made sure you'll never forget it! because all my little animal creations, including humans have thousands of them all holding them together... Oh? What? You want to miracle them away? Well you can't because if you do all the animals will fall apart, so there!"

Yeah, of course we know without other things the body will not function. We know this very well. But Laminin is the glue.. collagen also holds us together, but honestly, its not to prove anything. We enjoy seeing the work of our creator in our lives, and in this case, in our bodies.

God is before and after all creation.. He knew Jesus was going to die on the cross before Adam & Eve decided to eat some fruit. We're excited.. seeing the small details of ourselves, and just how perfectly things work out.
In my opinion, many people would say, " oh big deal, its just a coincidence that laminin is shaped as a cross" But the thing is, its the function of laminin that fascinates us. Its the cell or protein that holds the body together. And as stated in the vid, we fall apart without it. For those people who think that laminin is in the shape of a cross. It's not.
That's just a simplified representation of it made by *people* for visual purposes only. Proteins change conformation, so actually it can have all sorts of shapes, like and X, or an X with bent arms like a *swastika* (suddenly not as glamorous, eh?).
I suspect the people who've been pushing this silly story are ignoring any pictures that don't look particularly cross-like, and only showing you the ones that do.

@frostek When the protein molecule laminin is isolated.. it only comes in one layout. It forms the perfect shape of a cross. When the molecule is binding other substances together.. the other molecules bring adjusted form to the original structure of laminin.

This is an extremely desperate stretch, sorry. Just because something has the shape of a cross (a very simplistic shape) doesn't mean it is "divinely inspired". Now, if the chosen symbol of Christianity were, say, a truncated icosahedron, and some protein shared the same shape then we may have something. Don't get me wrong, please. I am a believer, myself. For me, that "big picture" is drawn by our awesome Creator...and to me, the proof is out there, whether you "believe" that laminin is cross-shaped or not. Christians, remember that Jesus did not need to force his teachings down others' throats--He simply taught, and those who believed in Him became His followers. I applaud this young lady for sharing what she believes, and I encourage others to do the same WITHOUT using condemnation.

Ok, first off, I am a born again Christian, but just because a cell that holds things together is in the shape of a cross does not have to be the reason for God's existence, God exists though, it says in Hebrews 11:1 that faith is the substance of things hoped for and the evidence of things unseen. His death benefited us because He was a sinless person.Back in the old old times (like Moses) they would sacrifice lambs because they were spotless animals.Jesus was God's only son. He was a virgin conception (meaning he wasn't born a sinner) He was the only person that could take all of our sins away because He was the one without any sin. He died on the cross to take our sins away,so if we accept Him in our lives when we die we can tell God that we are free from our sins and we get into hevan

Hello, maybe if you have some questions the best thing I could suggest would be to do an Alpha course. Very Informative on questions such as the one above including many many others connected to the Christian faith. If you have an ineterest don't brush it aside God might be directing you to getting some of your questions answered! I found an Alpha course wonderful, but that is just my own experince. Well,we sinned against God when we rejected Him, and because God is infinitely Holy(since He is the creator, not the created)we had to get punished infinitely...but because He loved us so much,He sent His Holy,sinless Son to die instead of us.Cuz no one can repay a debt for anyone else unless they are debt free. When we accept Jesus,we get salvation from Him and we are saved,which benefits us,because we no longer are under Gods wrath. :)It's amazing how God can be so merciful to people like us!

In my opinion, many people would say, " oh big deal, its just a coincidence that laminin is shaped as a cross" But the thing is, its the function of laminin that fascinates us. Its the cell or protein that holds the body together. And as stated in the vid, we fall apart without it.
