The Bible is clear when it say Love Not (THIS WORLD) for all that is in this world is the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eye and the pride of life . God so loved this world that he (GAVE) his only son that whoever believes in Him, should not perish but have everlasting life. Oh Dear ones we must live a life apart for the pulls of this world. Jesus loves you and so do I
I agree with This Message or shall I say warning. To the born again blood washed, there is no despair only Joy to know that we are going to be with the Kings of kings forever. The despair or sorrow comes when we are really not saved. The sorrow comes when we think of loved ones, friends, or backsliders who are still in this world living as though it will be here forever. So I agree with this awesome warning. Don't die in your sins . Don't let it be said too late, fore tomorrow is not promised.
The Letter of the Law Kills but the Spirit Gives Life, Only two laws to live by Love God and Love your nieghbor as yourself. Everything else is religeion gone MAD. Works do not save you, self righteousness does not save you, only accepting God's Free Gift of Eternal Live through Jesus will save you. Empty Works, Empty Righteousness, does not impress God.
Romans 8 There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made me free from the law of sin and death. 3 For what the law could not do in that it was weak through the flesh, God did by sending His own Son on account of sin: He condemned sin in the flesh, 4 that the righteous requirement of the law might be fulfilled in us who do not walk according to the flesh but according to the Spirit.
Pardon me! But " And the reason JESUS die and came back was for what again?????????? see acording to you we know what's right, and with free will if we don't get it right we are going to hell when we die,,,what about Jurgement,,,
@helperthrope Actually, almost everyone goes to hell, except for a very small percentage of the human population, though you will never believe it until you get there.
@helperthrope now thats a bunch of garbage think of this you walk out side you see the snow so you know it is there now you go out side it is hot out side you can not see it or you go out side and its windy no trees around you cant see wind are wind in heat fake too lol
But those who beleave in jesus as you father and savior shal not parish but have everlasting live whith lots of joy not every one goes to hell you can escape this what he is saying is not true but you can stop this buy accepting the lord you father and Jesus your savior
"And when you pray, you must not be like the hypocrites; for they love to stand and pray in the synagogues and at the street corners, that they may be seen by men. Truly, I say to you they have received their reward. But when you pray, go into your room (or closet.) and shut the door and pray to your Father who is in secret..." (Matthew 6:5-6 RSV).
Thank you for introducing me to a great sinner saved by the grace of a great God. What a jewel! I will make it my goal to read Samuel Davies from today on and learn from him as God worked in him. I read a short biography and he's definitely one I'd like to learn from.
LORD FORGIVE US OF OUR SINS AND CLEANSE US FROM ALL UNRIGHTOUSNESS. BY YOUR STRIPES WE ARE HEALED! LET US PRAY FOR ALL THE SOULS THAT ARE CONDEMNED THAT THE LORD WILL CHANGE THEIR HEARTS AROUND AND BE SAVED.
Jesus died on the cross for all sins this means HE took our punishment. When we believe in Jesus, REPENT and ask JESUS into our life we will be free from sin and have eternal life. HOWEVER, when one dies In their sin they will be punished for their sin and they will serve that time in Hell. It is very simple. If Jesus is not LORD of your life then satan is. Who are you serving?????
@GraceVideoTreasures How is it a crime of infinite measure? A crime against an infinite God would seem to be of infinitesimal measure. Suppose I stole $1 from a millionaire, versus stealing $1 from a hobo. It's a bigger crime to steal from a smaller victim, yeah? So, how does an infinitesimal crime entail infinite punishment? That would be infinitely less fair than the millionaire condemning me to life imprisonment for stealing $1. The world is very good at hypnotizing itself out of its reason.
@DJAR1E If your measure is wealth then you would have a point. Consider what would happen to you if you were to punch Obama in the face vs a hobo on the street. Even that is a bad example as there is probably not much of a moral difference between them. There is however a massive difference between the infinite creator of the Universe and yourself.
Yes, the world is very good at hypnotizing itself out of reason, hence the rejection of Christ and your absurd analogy.
@GraceVideoTreasures I see you are eager to throw off my words, but is that really the way of Reason? Considering you can't hurt God, every sin is really just stealing, God's wealth being all of His creations. Killing robs the life of one of His creations, lies rob His creations of His Truth, coveting the neighbor's wife robs the sacrosanctity that binds creation, and so forth. Your notion of an "infinite crime" is heresy; that would be beyond the boundaries of God's infinite forgiveness.
@DJAR1E The infinite crime is rejecting Jesus. He is our only hope and salvation, like a raft from a sinking ship, reject Him and you reject protection and safety. He is also a friend who loves us enough to die for us and we owe Him love in return. He will be our source of complete joy and satisfaction for all eternity. We will appreciate His sacrifice for us and we will be happy to dwell with Him. Mind cannot fathom the wonders He has prepared for those of us who understand and believe in HIm
@briddle2 That's a red herring. You've not shown how it's "infinite"; rather, by illustrating how God/Jesus's love is infinite (which I'm not questioning), you've merely insisted that rejecting it is equally so. I'm telling you: that's not how infinity functions, especially in deontological ethics. You are creating narrow conditions for infinite love. The whole point of accepting Christ is that no mortal deed is eternal, such that the only way to partake in infinite love is through God.
@DJAR1E If I look at God and tell you what I see, I speak through a lens or filter that couch my words. You can hear it in my description. If I look at you and tell you what God is like, it sounds different because one is working one set of thoughts and the other is using different thoughts and words. Ideally, there should be no difference, but we have limitations that arise in relationships. So, that said, I am narrow as you say, but not in a bad way in a very good way. continued...
@briddle2 That said, the only infinite crime is also an impossible one: killing God. Longinus came closest to it, and he was venerated! Assuming that accepting (or rejecting) Christ is a matter of deeds rather than words, there's really no issue to discuss. The matter at hand is using words truthfully--in part, that means using them accurately. I take issue with hyperbole and equivocation, as well as blatant fallacies, since they directly undermine the good in spreading the Word.
@DJAR1E continued... Please don't see my narrowness to be my fault because it is my strength. Not my own strength but the Lord's, who is always with me as He is to any who welcome Him as Lord. You have an interest in higher thinking as I see you correctly use philosophical arguments. I see that as a help to you should you examine with intellectual honesty these issues. It can be a problem to you if you merely ascribe to other's views like Dawkins, The God Delusion. He is not honest.
@briddle2 Those are noble words. Granted, I don't subscribe to anyone who harasses people of faith simply to justify their lack of it. Although I was keen to unveil the notion of an "infinite" crime, it was not to satiate some pedantic urge; it was to show how the notion is distinctly anti-Christian, regardless of how pervasive it is. When I see God, then you, the only difference I see is me. Of any friendship, a respect for sublime possibility, even if we are compelled to be earthly enemies.
@DJAR1E Thank you. Let be continue in my narrowness. Appearing pedantic isn't a factor to me at all. I avoid the ocean of argument in favor of the stream of possibilities. A narrow stream indeed since the possibility of both agreement and enlightenment are rare. Still, the notion of an event to cause God (the infinite) to fail in His quality of forgiveness is untrue. But still, justice is also His quality so to reject Jesus, is our infinite crime triggering His justice quality.
@GraceVideoTreasures But, perhaps I mistook your words or misrepresented your views. It's just that, when someone steals, they can always give back, and only the finite are susceptible to grudges. Think of the salient theme of the Merchant of Venice for instance.
Back in October 2009, I was hospitalized with depression. Within 24 hours, I had a dream that I was destined for hell. What a horrible feeling, knowing that although it was a dream, it might be true. I know that I am a sinner, hopefully saved by the Grace of God...Today, is the day of the rest of our lives.
