I do not see the soft, yeilding aspects of Tai Chi being exemplified here. This form moves like Tai Chi, but with its emphasis on fa jing in each move, the concept of deep yielding would be far more elusive. I agree that Tai Chi can be expressed this way in application, but supreme softness is the bedrock requirement of Yang Tai Chi. Effortlessness in all postures is the goal. There is much effort in the form.
@TaoistDragons are not half of the eight energies yang in nature and is not Peng the quintessential energy emphasized in Yang style? Which is pure yang? In my opinion which is just that, an opinion. Taiji's yin and yielding essence resides in the mind more so then the body. The application of techniques with ease in combat or sparring is paramount to "looking" soft while performing the form.
Much better then most practitioners found on youtube. You have a decent knowledge of mechanics and I'm impressed with the explosiveness of your strikes. The only negative comment that I have is that there seems to be a stiffness in your attacks, but I may be mistaking it for 'sharpness' since after all you are stressing martial arts. This reminds me a lot of mantis style tai chi.
