Only two exceptions to this rule have been made, both publicly announced and discussed.

Mr. Obama has said many many times that the health care plan will allow people to keep their health care plan if they like it. What he does not say is that the health care plan will not allow you to SWITCH from one private plan to another. If you are with Blue Cross, for instance, and you want to leave BC and go with Aetna, you won't be able to. Additionally, if your employer decides to end health benefits, you are also stuck at that point with the feds.
