Since a short time the Tölzer Knabenchor in Germany (toelzerknabenchor.de) performs this Händel Oratorium. Some public performances are planned.
On Monday, June 13,2011 the choir (with orchestra under the participation of Yair Dal (!) and adult soloists of course) performed the Oratorium in Israel !
it sounds like happiness i really love this vid someone need to teach me i love to ring the bells i love to share the christmas with all my friends happy christmas to everyone good luck i wish the best who made this vid good example a lot cheers
Everyone, please do a search here on YouTube for this recording from 1888; Edison made one of the first audio recordings of this with a 4,000-member choir. You can only hear a suggestion of what must have been an amazing concert, but you certainly can hear that is this piece, sung by the glorious, ghostly voices of 122 years ago. It's a moving experience!
So many concertgoers don't know this oratorio, a shame. I now have 3 versions, but if I'd died at 65 I would never have heard it! And this finale arguably more exuberant than the Hallelujah Chorus or Worthy Is the Lamb... genius. Thanks for this excellent video!
