  • 8 people dont have clarinets

  • question can you get the notes 4 me....i play clarinet and i was wonder if i could have the notes 4 that song

  • really good 5*

  • buffet crampon-each piece has tempo markings and dynamic markings, but it is up to the performer to decide how to interpret the music. these markings are merely suggestions

  • That's Good

    I'm a clarinest too !

Maybe you van send me this sheetmusic ?

    I very happy than !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    thank you !

    Laly, from Holland

  • Your brother great the pianist NOT so good!! when you watch Han Kim his pianist is the best ive EVER heard!! she brings it home

  • very nice tone

  • you brother plays very good

  • where is your brother doing his major in clarinet performance?

  • I thought the tone of his slow section was flawless though, I just hate his painist.

  • a little slow

  • not really

  • fantastic performance!!!!

  • does your brother still play?

  • yes, he is majoring in clarinet performance.

  • Where is he going to school?

  • very good!!!

  • Woh I'm really big surprised that noone has complained about how MUCH he moves. It's like he's stiring in a coocking-pot. It did affect my musical experience.

  • That's not bad actually. I'd say that's acceptable if you compare it to the majority of the players in this world.

Maybe that's why no one really commented on that?

  • I dunno, it's really not the movement that's bad, as how he moves all jerky-like.

He either doesn't articulate much or the recording is bad, but he missed lots of the articulations.

His tone is nice, but it is inconsistent... this piece is way overplayed anyways.

He takes parts of it too slow and other parts he doesn't relax enough.

  • great!! terrific job

  • cool, i played this my freshman year of high school. :D this is an amazing song, and it was my audtion piece to Interlochen. it's just too bad the quality of the vid isn't good. but he sounds pretty good.:D just try not to strain during the cadenza. :P

  • yes, smack the pianist..but this is good playing I must say! Anyone out there learning it as well, that cadenza is oh so frustrating.

  • I think the first note must be more brilliant!! and the accompagnment with the arpeges must be more apassionato to a great ff!!!

There's technically no problem and your brother have a very good sound!

  • which vid is julian's?

  • As a high school student, yes. Even I can't play that piece that well :P

I think DuyTran16's post is really good on YouTube, but we all have different tastes in opinion.

  • i dont like duy's version. its not as clean as this performance. he played it too fast. seemed like the tempo got to him in some spots. he's very good though.

  • Fast? Which section?

  • the whole thing

  • i agree with you about the video quality. it doesn't do your brother's performance justice. he sounds like a great clarinet player. i'm trying to learn this piece myself, and boy is it hard.

  • A very clear robust tone, excellent, i dont usualy liek amateur musicians lol

  • Well, if you're a critic of professional musicians, you should know better than to type "liek" you do.

  • Somebody smack that pianist before I punch my computer screen.

Very nice clarinet playing by the way

  • Well played! How old is your brother?

  • he was sixteen in the video, but now he's 17.

  • play on? I'll have to ask him, because I have no idea! :)

  • i think this is one of the most expressive Messager's I've heard on YouTube and I think I've heard them all so far. Even more expressive than Julian. Saying that, I don't think this is the best in technique, breath support, and articulation, but it is all quite good. What does your brother play on?

  • I would have to agree with you wholeheartedly..especially with it being a better performance than Julian...that is not taking away from him but it is different style and musicianship. Even with the piano playing the wrong chords he still plays with focus and a beautiful tone! What school does he attend?
