I would so love to see real time graphics approach this level of animation/fidelity with the ivy bridge/ kepler or Maxwell Nvidia cards. To me this is the beginning of real immersion for MMO's or RPG's in general. The next threshhold of innovation.

The legend that became known as Diablo II. 10 Years after the release date and people still play it, that says more about the game then any comments made by idiots hiding behind the anonymity of the internet thinking they just reinvented hot water.
There was nothing wrong with it, asides from the loot system. But that said it was pretty addicting and you could spend way too much time with it. I advise most people to steer clear of it in the way I might tell them not to try crack. I dunno if you'd consider it a legitimate fault or not. It's something of a commendation of the game's quality, but also a condemnation of what it offers in return for your time.

Marius is just Marius. the character from the first game that you are referring to is called "Farnham" (THAT is his actual name) not farmhand, nor he was a worker on a farm or anything,

While in Diablo I you had a choice of a Warrior, Rouge and Sorcerer, Diablo II works on the concept that it was the Warrior who slew Diablo, placed his Soulstone within his head and essentially is corrupted by Diablo. However it's noted that all three playable classes from the first game make an appearance in the second. The Ranger is supposed to be Blood Raven, who went off to face Diablo and was undead. Then the Sorcerer who is the Robed boss in Act II who can be one shotted.
Why Marius seems at least 15 years older when he talk about the past? Our character doesn't age a day from killing Diablo to killing Baal. And doesn't passed away that much time.
And second: the wanderer is male, but what if the hero who killed Diablo before was a Rogue? XD
Because, if you finish the game, you'll hear Marius saying "Look, what the stone did to me!!" and see him giving it away. That's what made him so old- the Soulstone.
I asked the second question to myself too, but I guess that Blizzard simply decided to follow only the more probable ending, not to ask you whether you finished diablo one as rogue or warrior/mage and make two versions of each movie that contains diablo :-D
BTW, at the end of Diablo one you also see a male character, not female

The opening is wonderful, in the beginning when that crude voice shouts out "firai sa fii!" in romanian it means, "damn you" or "curse you". Being shouted with such maddened desperation is so... exciting and it gives you goose bumps.
Yes I am romanian, and even though the voice shouting might or isn't aware of the meaning of the words. Any way the Diablo cinematics were just pure genius.
I've seen it under both names. Released as a trailer, this was known as "The Calling", as part of the game proper, I've seen it referred to a s"Sisters Lament".

I like the tavern, reminds me of the tavern where i work, a little ambient music, ppl come in from "out there" to their renewed hopes and dreams being a nice feed, a relaxing pint and good service after a day at work.
They sit down and chat with a mate, hows the wife? good, hows the kids? good etc etc.....
Or were all three of them always Demons to begin with? I know that in some of the lore surrounding this game and the previous one before it that it mentions "The Great Conflict", which is apparently the ancient everlasting war between Heaven and Hell. There's not much more regarding the start of this war or who the Three Prime Evils once were. There's no mention of any "God" in the game, just "The High Heavens" or "The Light", leading me to assume its just a great hiearchy of Angels ruling.
The Three Prime Evils are actually very mysterious. The only history revealed about them in this game and the first game was their banishment from Hell by the Lesser Evils, for reasons I don't know why, and the troubles and corruption that they caused when they were stuck in the mortal realm, which led to their imprisonment by the powerful Horadrim Mages led by the Archangel Tyrael. Then the events after that were the events of Diablo and Diablo 2. Were all three of them Angels before?

This was the high point of blizzards movie making. over the past years the cinematics are lacking that "something" that made cut scenes like this so special. The graphics are good but the dialogues and story lines are just boring and worn-out.
You nailed it. Why don't you apply to Blizzard then and fix things up? Bill Roper was really good for WCII. You will find this trend in all games though. The Golden Age of video game story telling was the 90s.

At the end of Diablo, the hero stabbed himself with Diablo's soulstone in an attempt to contain the demon. This allowed Diablo to control him. Now you must go and kill him so he can't free Mephisto and Baal, the other Prime Evils. There's a lot more to the story, but that's the main reason your hero does what he or she does.
Help, I'm having problem with my Diablo II! I bought it not long ago and installed it as a 'single-player', everything went alright until I proceeded to play it; the screen just went black and then a message says something about 'server exception' and the game shuts down. D*:

download patch 1.12 from blizzard site, its latest patch and solves many issues.
Secondly, diablo 2 loads through game.exe in yer d2 map. If you still experience the same problem or sumthing you could make it run in compatibility mode win98 or winxp when you right click on game.exe and change things.

The opening is wonderful, in the beginning when that crude voice shouts out "firai sa fii!" in romanian it means, "damn you" or "curse you". Being shouted with such maddened desperation is so... exciting and it gives you goose bumps.

I've seen it under both names. Released as a trailer, this was known as "The Calling", as part of the game proper, I've seen it referred to a s"Sisters Lament".

Awesome game, no one does cinematics like blizzard.
I like the tavern, reminds me of the tavern where i work, a little ambient music, ppl come in from "out there" to their renewed hopes and dreams being a nice feed, a relaxing pint and good service after a day at work.
They sit down and chat with a mate, hows the wife? good, hows the kids? good etc etc.....

Or were all three of them always Demons to begin with? I know that in some of the lore surrounding this game and the previous one before it that it mentions "The Great Conflict", which is apparently the ancient everlasting war between Heaven and Hell. There's not much more regarding the start of this war or who the Three Prime Evils once were. There's no mention of any "God" in the game, just "The High Heavens" or "The Light", leading me to assume its just a great hiearchy of Angels ruling.

The Three Prime Evils are actually very mysterious. The only history revealed about them in this game and the first game was their banishment from Hell by the Lesser Evils, for reasons I don't know why, and the troubles and corruption that they caused when they were stuck in the mortal realm, which led to their imprisonment by the powerful Horadrim Mages led by the Archangel Tyrael. Then the events after that were the events of Diablo and Diablo 2. Were all three of them Angels before?

This was the high point of blizzards movie making. over the past years the cinematics are lacking that "something" that made cut scenes like this so special. The graphics are good but the dialogues and story lines are just boring and worn-out.

You nailed it. Why don't you apply to Blizzard then and fix things up? Bill Roper was really good for WCII. You will find this trend in all games though. The Golden Age of video game story telling was the 90s.

At the end of Diablo, the hero stabbed himself with Diablo's soulstone in an attempt to contain the demon. This allowed Diablo to control him. Now you must go and kill him so he can't free Mephisto and Baal, the other Prime Evils. There's a lot more to the story, but that's the main reason your hero does what he or she does.

Help, I'm having problem with my Diablo II! I bought it not long ago and installed it as a 'single-player', everything went alright until I proceeded to play it; the screen just went black and then a message says something about 'server exception' and the game shuts down. D*:

download patch 1.12 from blizzard site, its latest patch and solves many issues.
Secondly, diablo 2 loads through game.exe in yer d2 map. If you still experience the same problem or sumthing you could make it run in compatibility mode win98 or winxp when you right click on game.exe and change things.
