I try to listen when people argue for religion but I can never remember any point they made, that's because they rarely make a point at all, even by using false logic. You have to be really smart to argue the case for religion because it is extremely difficult being devoid of logic.

It seems that everyone has missed the point of this topic, which is, Americans have lost their faith and belief that there is an actual existing deity. Does these things prove a God is real? No, it doesn't. I cannot speak for all Atheists, but I will share my point of view which is this- I will NEVER believe in ANY God or Gods, no Satan and demons, no Zeus or Odin, just humans living in the world. PROOF of a God cannot come from books and/or quotes, but the physical evidence of SEEING a God. As much as I admire Hitchens writing-style and intelligence, hes still a embittered, hubristic asshole and far less faithful to the truth than George Orwell, whom he claims is a great source of inspiration. Hitchens is a sophist and Orwell had a great distaste for this sort of thing.
