I remember watching this, then I closed my eyes because JD sounded sooo much like Michael that it was just like having Michael back...I just wanted to listen without looking, and then my eyes were tearing up...I was sooo moved by JD's performance...I know that he has a voice of his own, but I believe for that brief moment Michael was there...:)
Although J.D. is pretty good, I believe INXS was finished once Michael Hutchence died. I wouldn't say INXS was just Hutch but he certainly was a very important part of INXS. I don't know the whole story about what happened with INXS and J.D. recently I just hope that what J.D. said is not true and I hope that J.D. finds his own voice and that the remaining members of INXS can move on and hopefully start something new without clinging to the past. INXS with JD is like a phoenix rising from the ashes, its rebirth. As Andrew Farriss said, The word Switch means a lot of things for them and was the reason why it was the name of their latest album. JD does a fantastic job up front. I still cry about michael being gone, but its time to move on and JD is that person helping me move on.

I think JD is great, but there are some songs he sings that I really think he shouldn't. By My Side is one of them, that is Michael's song. I hope they put out another album soon... Switch has so many great tunes and JD needs more songs that are his own. I enjoyed the two concerts I saw, but hearing JD sing Michael's songs was heart warming in one way, but heart breaking in another; a painful reminder that Michael is gone forever.

NO. In my opinion, Michael Hutchence was the soul, the charisma and the personality of INXS, he was the main reason of what INXS was definitely.
Without Michael, INXS wasn't, isn't and will never be the same.
JD could be a good singer, but he will never replace the charisma, personality and soul of Michael Hutchence.
The soul of INXS died when Michael Hutchence died, cause he was the soul of the band and he will be irreplaceable.
