I liked this; thanks for posting it. I'm American and though I don't follow things like this to the greatest extent, I do often. My niece is brilliant and she says that one of the hardest things is that society is afraid to talk about intelligence Therefore, I try to keep up with stories like these. Curiously, every American story I've encountered to date, attempts to stress that other than this (major) part of the youth's life, (s)he is totally like other children.
I will probably get rejected for maths at cambridge with 100% in maths :/
