Nice work kid you did a really good job (no matter what amp you play through) im already reppin the microkorg and have got the sr18 in the mail haha can't wait
@WowomgitsJustin hey thanks! Oh the SR18 is really great, almost a year on and I've been gigging with it none stop, there's so much you can do in the way of creating songs. I'll stop now before I inadvertently turn into an alesis salesman
@alapunk13 Guitar amps aren't made to handle really low frequencies, so playing the low notes on the synth can kill the guitar amp. Its just like playing a bass guitar through a regular guitar amp.
@alapunk13 Holy fuck did you think your amp was going to instantaneously combust? Unless you're just playing your bedroom, put the level up loud enough to go over a drum kit and continually play your bass, you're going to kill the guitar amp. Why do you think there are different amps for basses and guitars?
@CtrlAltDft no, lol. yep I play in my bedroom. haven't tried cranking it up all the way though. yeah I know it isn't good for the amp but if you read back, I was asking how it will damage the amp...I wasn't saying it wasn't gonna damage the amp.
@CtrlAltDft you only said it couldn't handle low frequencies but you didn't explain why, and that was why I was continually asking you, anyway thanks for sharing what you know.
@alapunk13 You never asked why the guitar amp can't handle low frequencies, you specifically asked 'how does it damage the amp' and right after mentioned playing your bass guitar through the amp, implying 'it' was a bass guitar as you never once mentioned the word frequencies. Since you are just now asking how a guitar amp can't handle the low frequencies now, making an amp that would allow for lower frequencies would change the all over tone the amp (continued)
@alapunk13 and since a guitar doesn't reach the low frequencies that a bass guitar does, there is no need to alter the range of the guitar amp and affect the tone. A guitar amp is not made for the low frequencies that a bass guitar's low notes produce and so the low frequencies of a bass can damage a guitar.

I hope thats not a guitar amp cause you can break it with a synth (or any instrument) if the notes go too low.

@CtrlAltDft really? but how does it damage the amp though? I plug my bass amp to my guitar amp all the time, nothin bad's happening...

@alapunk13 What? Do you mean you plug a bass guitar to a guitar amp? Turn up the level on the guitar amp and then play your bass lol.

@CtrlAltDft yeah plug the bass to my guitar amp, I actually tried it at around 2 o clock and still sounds fine...Oh well..
