First heard it in the movie tree of life, already then I thought it was beautifully played. This is even better. Your performance is really something else ( in the most positive meaning ).
and to perform by an original musical instrument is absolutely required.
There is pleasure which is different when it flips by a musical instrument modern moreover.
The true masterpiece has transcended the difference in musical instruments.
I flip not only F.Couperin but Antonio de Cabezón(1510-1566), Frescobaldi(1583-1643),William Byrd(1543-1623),L.Couperin(1626-1661) on modern piano...hahaha. (^^)
I love your interpretation! I rediscovered this piece through "The Tree of life" and since then I couldn't stop thinking about it. It seems that it encompasses so much of life and the world around us. There is a lot of hope and happyness in this piece...it somehow resembles childhood. And through your interpration the piece is even liflier and the dynmics perfectly resemble the ups and down everybody goes through in life. Congratulations, I think you are a wonderfull artist!
@akane528bruno I've always be filled with wonder to see how Asian people, specially Japanese people, are VERY GOOD AND CREATIVE MUSICIANS, whether in classical or in rock or any other style of music ! Thank you for sharing all these gems on YouTube !
Sounded great. I like a stronger, louder left hand in this piece, it gives it more rhythym and structure, it gives it more warmth. I've never liked the facial act when it comes to piano- it's all about the music, and how it sounds. Not about your face.
Wonderful! I love this piece!

Of course, I perform them also with a cembalo.

Thank you. There is no end in this argument.
The modern piano does not exist in the Haydn and Mozart era, either.
Even if Haydn and Mozart flip on a modern piano, nobody complains.
However, there are those who complain that F.Couperin and Rameau are performed on modern piano.
An innovative trial always exists together with complaints.

It was written for harpsichord, so play it on a harpsichord

First, I appreciate that you listened to my performance. And your opinion is right.
As for this music, since music was written for the clavecin, performing with a clavecin is right.
I performed this music using the cembalo.
I uploaded the performances of this music to YouTube 7 times.
4 times of them are a performance of a clavecin.
akane528bruno 3 months ago
@erikomertens
and since this work is too much beautiful, I cannot stop the desire of liking to perform on a modern piano.
A true masterpiece does not choose the kind of musical instrument !
It is because the work itself is wonderful.

The baroque music of France is in existence far from our modern oriental world.
I considered various ideas when this performance was constructed.
"Do people in France welcome those ideas?"
I was not confident at all.

If I do not change the expression of the face at all and it is possible to perform, it is wonderful.
And, when I can change only the nuance of music, it is wonderful.
However, it is impossible for me. (wry smile)
I am an expression of a strange face while performing.
It doesn't worry in that.
It is important that music change neatly.
There is no room to consider my face.

Thank you!
This work is originally a work for the cembalo. However, it is a very beautiful tune.
Recently, a lot of modern piano players are taking up this tune (ex. Alexandre Tharaud).
The players of the guitar also are often performing.

I up-loaded this work to YouTube six times. Six times also!
Three versions practicing cembalo. And the last version of cembalo.
And two versions were performed with a modern piano.
This work is really a masterpiece.
