  • After learning to play wipeout in single strokes, I'm trying to play it with paradiddles and paradiddles diddles and I was wondering if you would have also an easy way to learn it just like you did it for the single stroke version...Thanks

  • Excellent tutorial, best ive seen for this riff..

  • Very generous of you to take the time to work through that, especially after 30 years. Again, you rock.

One thing about the drums I find difficult and frustrating is that it is much more difficult than it looks to accent notes strongly, the background unaccented notes ring almost as loudly. Any thoughts?

About piano, There are lots of books for any instrument that have the sheet music along with CD recordings of the pieces, I bought one for my wife on classical piano. A teacher is best thoug

  • @MrTennis88 - It is difficult at first, which bring up a good point. I found that it's very beneficial in developing stick control when you make sure you're playing the accents strongly, then immediately drop down in volume and relax (not gradually) for the quieter "inner strokes", in any exercise like this. This sort of "springing into action" trains you to be in more in command of what you want to do.

I'm sure I'll find piano videos out there somewhere that will propel me to the next level.

  • @MrTennis88 What a good way to teach how to play Wipeout. In other clips, they show you playing slow but with both hands all the time and in only 5 minutes this video clip showed me in a very easy short practice to play it the right way without any difficulties. What a professor... Thanks a lot, friend!

  • Man you saved me from complete frustration. Your method is the best on the internet for this song, all the others just made me crazy. I'm a guitarist/violinist for more than 40 years, play in bands the whole nine yards. I decided to learn drums. You are the man!

  • @MrTennis88 - Man, I know how you feel. I've played drums for about 30 years and I'm starting to learn piano having a good foundational knowledge. Problem is that most of the videos I find for piano are either too basic, or too advanced. Takes some searching, I guess.

  • Every time you accent with your right hand, the stick shoots out to the right. Try to make an "up and down" path that's constant instead. That way you're using less energy and you don't have to subconsciously adjust after every note.

  • i can play right on its own n left on its own but juts not together

  • @alisterjr1 how? all it is is sixteen notes with an accent pattern on the right hand

  • i fell a sleep after the first 5 minthen he want to do that samething for 10 sets , no way , glad i all ready know how to play wipe out

  • Dood.................

  • Sound?

  • wow what happend on this video??????????no sound?

  • OK let`s go to Bill drumset and play this variation?

    What you think?;) for fun...

  • That's funny, there's a Blue Jay outside my window responding to the one in this video. Bet he thinks I've got one trapped in my room.

  • it`s also play use the paradiddle and the Paradiddlediddles variation...sound the same and more fun;)

  • Paradiddlediddles are interesting. I like to play it with double and single paradiddles myself. I used to think that's what I was hearing on the recording. Those are both variations more advanced than what we wanted to display for this video.
