I don't think this is dated at all - It still sounds like it's somewhere in the future. It's what it makes you see in your mind and not the limitations of the instruments. Sublime!!

well, i sort of agree with that comment but musicially it isn't "dated" like much synth music is. I have a theory. Human generated tones - guitar, sax, drums, etc. Never sound out of date because they don't change that much. not so with digital instruments. the technology is always pressing forward. The smarter musicians realized this. The dumber ones sound out of date.
