  • Wow, all this for gum?

  • okay i got a pack of gum and it had a picture of a wasp in the corner and i have watched this video, and gone to the website and i still have no idea what it means!! someone help!!

  • Sigh, yeah, it's gum.

  • Please somone explain to me, why is Five gum doing this...and what the hell it is about?

  • i think people should do this instead of fireworks...

  • Whoever thinks this is about Halo 4 is a fucking retard.

  • @samster92 Know that sounds like a rather ignorant statement. 42 Entertainment is running the ARG, same company that Ran "IloveBees". This whole thing started at E3, so I wouldn't draw any conclusions just yet my friend.

  • @TheSecretCobra What would 5 Gum have anything to do with Halo 4?

  • @samster92 Something along the lines of Product Tie-ins, Which is done with practically everything. When I was at MLG Anaheim, it was 1 product tie-in after another. Dr Pepper being the Biggest with MLG in general. In addition there was, Alienware, US Military/Army, Sony, Microsoft, ect.

  • @TheSecretCobra Even then, an ARG has a story, and the story would have to tie in with Halo, and it's not looking like it is at all.

  • its for halo 4, look up i love bees

  • 5 Gum

  • this whole thing is creeping me out... although I know it's just an ad for 5gum :-O

  • What the heck is this??? I did the whole bring back the light puzzle and now i feel really dumb because there are no links on the site that lead me anywhere new! What's next?

  • Thumbs up if you bought a pack of gum and saw "You have been chosen" when you opened it so you were like "WTF?"

  • i'm so confused.

  • All this hype for gum. Makes me wanna kick a baby.

  • @illf4ted lol kyle from south park

  • For a minute after registering I thought "Wait... Don't tell me I just join a cult!" -.-

  • It's for gum you fools. 5 gum.

  • @geishakid Not certain about that.....

  • @LunaHeartnet

Wrigley has confirmed they are part of the campaign.

  • Confused.

  • PEOPLE theres a timer on the website that says we have to wait 9 days and 21 hours and 20 minutes until these things DO SOMETHING, or until we get something else in the mail with more details. Maybe this REALLY is for something called the human preservation project?

  • @artuno1207 no its for halo, appearantly they did this for halo 2, too.

  • I live in Pray Montana. I got the package. I got the blue light thing attached to the little paper thing that doesn't fly. I got the slip of paper that says stuff on it. I shined the light all over the paper. Couldn't find anything. I took the light apart and put it back together. I came back to the site and clicked on everything I could find that was clickable including the glowing blue leg-flapping wasp (sorry, but it is a wasp, not a fly. No wing leg flapping aside). No eval left (Color bar).

  • i havent gotten any emails or messages. also no mail but that might be because im in Canada

  • I just got this shit in the male when I signed up for test subjects needed :| Im not going if I dont know what it is. If the entire thing is for a fireworks show then Im very disapointed.

  • I just go mine in the mail

  • Comment removed

  • Is that Terry O'quinn?

  • Ok, I was expectiong something cool and I get this gay rave shit and John Locke with a beard trying to brainwash me at the end, what the fuck is going on guys

  • @FoolyCoolyMabase lmfao dude

  • I live in Australia and when i signed up and gave my details, it said i would recieve a package

  • @death2sarge said the same thing to me to

  • @death2sarge

wait and see if we get one i supose?

  • @DavidPalmerPresident wouldnt that be something!

  • I was using my light while I was watching this.

  • I live in Dallas, Does anyone have the location of the Dallas package?!

  • @TheHaloDon All the packages have been retrieved.

  • My boy left awhile ago to Orlando to see if he could get the package.

Does anybody know any more information about this?

  • @407Derek Its already beem found check out at MissionIcefly(.)(com) it says all packages have been found.

  • @gato90909 Well yeah I knew that. -_-

I want to know whos behind all this and shit...

  • @407Derek Its a Halo 4 ARG (Augmented Reality Game) right now its sort of a mystery to everyone.

  • @DannyBruv2k OBVIOUSLY. The participants of the ARG are called "Test Subjects."

  • Haha. Nice subliminal message at the end.

  • @DannyBruv2k that i am aware of. i know whats going in I just like saying that. I just wanted to know what the next step was but I figured it out.

  • Check out 5 gum's react webpage.

On the "game" there's a button that says "continue your sensory experience: once you've recieved your black envelope, enter here to continue your sensory experience 'access with your code'"

And on the 5 gum Coachella site, there's a tremendous focus on senses, similar to the original Test Subjects Needed site.

The font is similar, the color palet used in the advertisements is similar, it's not uncommon for gum ads to be in comics or at video game conventions.

  • @DeCarlucciJ I checked that out, I'm 98% certain that was an Australian promotion tied in to X-Men First Class

  • I WISH I LIVED CLOSER TO ONE OF THE CITIES :(

  • @StRuDeL2014 same here. I would love to sign up but I live in Harlingen Tx and thats A couple of hours away from dallas. even though its not too far away, my mom would never let me go to dallas for somthing like this. she would probably say its some kind of stupid video game crap that isnt important. :(

  • @ddfaf4 my mom would say the EXACT same thing...i live 2 hrs away from LA :( hopefully there is a way that we can still get involved with mission icefly without having to go to this

  • ITS NOT HALO 4. The site says you need to experiment with your 5 senses, and 5 gums logo is "Stimulate your Senses"

Sign up if you want a free light.

  • Anyone here a Test Subject?

  • @kaizersosa81 Yeah, I'm going "on call" tomorrow

  • @Delsmarto so what is it your doing. im a subject but they havent said anything

  • Its the covenant.

  • the countdown has ended.... so now what anyone?

  • This is Halo 4

  • The Flood was here,,, 777

  • hahah you all have no idea what this is. i actually know the people who are working on it. theyre from 42 entertainment and theyre right across the street from where i work. ;)

  • @backfireatthediscoo lol pics or its a lie

  • i love how no one really know whats going on :D

  • Whatever this is... I might find out in Orlando in a few days from now...

  • @charliezmuda I think you mean The Dark Knight, and I'm pretty sure that they only did I love bees (halo 2's arg) and not whatever they did for Halo 3.

Anyway, most evidence points to this being about gum. From the test subjects mirroring 5 Gum's ad campaign along with their stimulate your senses slogan. The only thing that really connects this to Halo is that they did the Halo 2 ARG and that they handed out envelopes at E3 with the Icefly on the back. 5gum is no stranger to viral marketing...

  • @AesculapiusPiranha you are right, i just saw a 5 gum commercail on tv and at the end of the commercail it flashed very very fast "test subjects needed". btw thanks for correcting me on the whole "night, knight" thing (as if that was actually important to put in your post asshole) So its an ARG for 5 gum's new product....well thats a big fuckin let down.

  • @charliezmuda Truth be told that is what I thought at first too (they advertised in DC comics the week after The Dark Knight Rises released their Tom Hardy as Bane picture via viral.) But truth be told I am having fun with this, and figure one marketing campaign is as good as another as long as it's fun. It may not have to do with Bruce Wayne or Master Chief, but so far it is interesting. Look up "5Gum Case Study" for an interesting video on how Wrigely has done virals before.

  • pretty damn sure this is the halo 4 ARG (Alternate reality game). In association with 42 entertainment (a company that makes ARG's including the halo 2, halo 3, and the black nights ARG.) So ide say we can relax its not about gum. go to missioniceflycom and take the quiz and follow instructions to "start the game". idk if im right on this, but all forums and signs seem to be pointing to this conclusion.

  • At the end: Was that the creepy LOST guy, in a suit?

  • is this related to halo 4?

  • @jumadiga Ot is rumored to be I signed up but with a fake picture

  • Oh my god! Please be halo 4! I don't wanna sign up for some batman or stride gum thing!

  • When it was about gum, I said no.

When it was about Halo, I signed up in minutes.

  • @Narutofreak2543 if its gum i swear i will troll them forever

  • @turtleshells118 It is gum.

  • Its definitely for 5 gum. Compare the mission icefly font that says test subjects needed now Its the same font as "How 5 gum makes you feel" on the commercials.

  • @g4nj4king420 The Icefly is also in there 5 Cobalt commercial. Funny thing is, if not for this, I would not have given their Commercial a second glance, so the campaign is working. It is only gum for Pete's and is nowhere as good as the commercial hype.

  • thumps up if you here because this is a halo 4 game :)

  • i dunno maybe its not for 5 gum

  • @metalboxfan 5 gum already has a campaign going on so, it might be halo. plus why would they hand these out at microsoft e3 press conference

  • I signed up for that human preservation thing and I got a mail in the post with this icefly thing, and some kind of glowing device when you twist it. I'm from the UK and it went through customs from America all fee's paid. What is it all about?

  • I Love Bees was an alternate reality game that served as both a real-world experience and viral marketing campaign for the release of developer Bungie's 2004 video game Halo 2.

THE GAME WAS CREATED AND DEVELOPED BY 42 ENTERTAINMENT.

Rumors are spreading around the internet after viral marketeers, 42 Entertainment, launched a new website under the codename Mission Icefly. Files @ E3's press conference were handed out to people wearing holographic bee t-shirts.

    Microsoft + 42 Entertainment. H4

  • one site says it might be a start of campaign for Halo 4 game

  • i lovebees

  • how awesome would be to see some bits of LOST in movies/tv shows or whatever, for example Lost characters cameo in a movie or a tv show. Imagine Benjamin Linus or Richard Alpert camoe in a movie/tv show or even a video game. i would shit bricks

  • just got a spinning led in the mail what now lol

  • @Michael2987 Wait for 12 pacific on the 30th, it seems (When the countdown ends) and I would guess the list of cities slowly appearing (see a couple posts down) have something to do with it.

  • IF YOU GO TO THE WEBSITE FOR MISSION ICEFLY THEY HAVE A SERIES OF LETTERS! THEY STAND FOR CITIES!

  • Odd...

  • I saw the website again and they added some words but some letters are missing. Anyone else see this?

  • @dbradburn369

I saw this, I dunno what they mean I tried rearranging them but nothing stood out

  • @DeCarlucciJ

Originally it said "Operation Reboot". As soon as I posted it at Unforum, additional letters appeared and it became unreadable. The original letters are still there between the new ones.

  • @marczellm assuming you already know this if you are on Unforum, but just saying here it appears to be forming the following city list: Los Angles, Phoenix, Las Vegas, Portland, Dallas, Washington,DC, Nashville, Chicago, Denver, Orlando, Seattle, Boston, New York, San Francisco, Atlanta

  • @DeCarlucciJ

Youtube won't allow me to post the link for the Unforum thread that covers just about everything about this campaign. Google "Unforum" and search for testsubjectsneeded SPLOT com

  • @marczellm Yea I found that last night, it was interesting. Have you seen 5 gum's react webpage? On the Flash game there's a button that says "continue your sensory experience: once you've recieved your black envelope, enter here to continue your sensory experience 'access with your code'"

And on the 5 gum Coachella website, there's a tremendous focus on senses, similar to the original Test Subjects Needed site.

  • Yeah, that's definitely Terry O'Quinn at the end. What's said sounds like "We will destroy you" backwards to me though.

  • I think it's "We know for certain"

  • This better not be some 'Lost' bullshit.

  • ok i managed to find out- The man is saying "Earths Among Us"

  • The person in the end is saying something backwards. i ran it through one of my programs and it seems to say "Earth is " the last word i cant make out.

  • This is gonna be interesting.

  • I really need to know what this is.

  • 7th

  • what does all this mean!!?!?!?!?

  • @bigfatimac A double prism! Wait... that's not it.

  • John Locke!

  • @ohwellmaybenot the answer to many american history questions

  • @ohwellmaybenot John Locke? Wtf is this for? Is this for Halo 4, the dharma initiative, 5 gum or for John locke? Seriously this is pissing me off.

  • Whoa.

  • wut?

  • Second
