How Long Did it take before you got your braces and what do they ask you in the appointment where they decide if you get them or not

In the appointment to decide about getting them they take pictures of you and your teeth and I think that's when they make the mold of your teeth before braces..then they go over the pictures with you and ask what you want to improve then they go over how they can make our teeth straighter and if they say you can get them, they'll make the appointment...
