Well..power isnt everything.... MX5021 has(much) better mid's than z-2300..but I agree the bass of z-2300 is better.

Well because I have no clue as to how much this 2:1 set-up costs i will tell you what i believe. Now i dont have this system but i have a set of logitech z-2300, with that as many people know its a 2:1 system, with an RMS total of 200W, and a max of 400W, with that you get the subwoofer which is a 8" long throw ported giving you 120W of rms power, and the 2 satellites giving you 2X 40W, in my opinion if this system if over the $200 mark then i highly recommend the Z-2300,

Hey dude! I have TWO MX5021 and SOOOOO HAPPY! First is black, second is white. I'm using kX Project drivers for my sb0100 with custom routing from 5.1 source to 2 stereo outputs (LFE mixing for each front and rear pairs + center is mixing for 65% to each front ) = I'm listening to DTS 5.1 through my two 5021s (quad sat + 2 subs) and stereo tracks, preferrably lossless (foobar copying front to rear from stereo, if no multichannel available). I own mx 5021 and believe me this realy is worth it. Experience new music, new movies and if you add it a Creative Xmod....its astonishing....

This speakers realy have some distorcion but only happens when you play it realy realy realy loud...you wont last 5 secs...neither your windows

I have these and love them. Best cpu speaker for the buck. Great for music and games. From low to med high they are great. For rock thumbers they run out of amp power at high volume. That is the fault of the amp not the speakers.

Sound better than promedia 2.1 until cranked when the promedias do better.

There's could be distortion from improper position in room (room resonance frequency). It's nearly impossible to distort 5021 sound! Only if you playing clipping sound (in that case you will get distortion just on mainly all speakers). Once i was watching movie with Ben Afflick and Uma Thurman (oh, i forgot how movie called) with AC-3 sound, and i tried to set max volume at motorcycle scene - sound was crisp and no distortion at all! THAT SCENE WAS INSANELY LOUD! Even my neighbours was scared xD

Awesome. I've been waiting months for more MX5021 vids. Good enough quality too.

Could I request you record some more rock based stuff such as SAGA, Journey, Iron Maiden and possibly some J-Pop such as Ayumi Hamasaki's Evolution? Would love to get an idea of how these kind of songs would sound if at all possible.
