Hello!

I have jailbroken my aTV and have XBMC running and everything. But i can't seem to connect my computer to apple tv with either cyberduck or Fugu.

I put in my ip address

user name: root

password: alpine

and port: 22

file protocol is: SFTP

But it won't connect, "can't find host"

Any idea what to do? Thanks :)

@cruisercarl100 when I downloaded the winspc it didn´t ask me for the IP address, just for the host name, user name and password, en it didn´t work to put filezila as the host name, root as user name and alpine as password, so I couldn´t finish the setup, what do I do?

@STRIKAZaYARD You need to either turn off your apple update or maybe you will need to jailbreak again, but before you do so, try loading the new XBMC Eden 2.0 this should do the trick without having to load up all your add ons or repos.

@STRIKAZaYARD refresh your xbmc by holding the menu button down and the down arrow until the light starts flashing on the atv box....if not sometimes a fresh jailbreak does the trick.

Is doing this much better than just linking your computer to the tv using a HDMI cable?

@cormac12123 It is essentially the same thing.....the ATV 2 is a PC and saves you having to connect your PC each time, why not have your PC in one remote control. Many benefits.

Sorry to be a pain but when

I download the icefilms zip on my mac laptop, I go to xbmc and when I try to add the zip file it's not there... I've saved the zip folder on to my desktop on my mac laptop but it still doesn't apear on my apple tv... Pls help

This will work as the process is the same but the passwrd and user name are different to the ATV2 and I dont know what they are so you would need to check this out.

my apple tv do not connect to winscp. i have a win vista. when i put my apple tv ip address then user name root password alpine and then i press login but its not coneccted to apple tv it shows using username root

authenticating with pre-entered password

Is there any other way to get the IP address besides going to settings? I ask because when I go into settings the IP address is cut off because my TV screen is not aligned well and I don't know how to align it.

@mcjazz1232 Got to the settings section and go to the network and select the TCIP and the next page will show you the IP address.
