I am from Cleveland, and I was a HUGE LeBron fan. Let me tell you something, I knew LeBron was going to leave, and I didn't care because the Cavs should have done more to put talent around him. Its more than money. Many fans get attached to a franchise icon, and that is what Lebron was. Sports is more than just how much money a player generates for team. I am from Cleveland, and I was a HUGE LeBron fan. Let me tell you something, I knew LeBron was going to leave, and I didn't care because the Cavs should have done more to put talent around him. But the way LeBron left, dragging it out that entire week and then going on national TV and embarrassing the city that stood by him since day one was completely wrong. Apology or not, I will never forgive him for that and I hope the Mavs win the finals. LeBron was a good guy, but the fame got to his head.

Dan Gilbert just publicly embarassed himself saying that he guaranteed, and even said it personally, that the Cavs will win a championship before LBJ...We're up 3-1 in the Eastern Conference Finals against the team with the best record in the league, the Bulls. We have one game which we will win, and then we have the Mavs to play for the second series in a row in the Finals. We're going to win in the first season with him. Epic failure by Dan Gilbert.

Good video. Although LeBron's didn't really 'leave' per se, he fulfilled his 7 year contract and became a free agent. He paid his dues and ultimately went to play for another team that he thought would be a better contender for the title.

In defense to his comment, although the players get paid, they are exploited for their service to benefit the owners and the amount of money the players receive doesn't even come close to what these Team owners receive!
