  • bee movie is lame!!

  • no country for old me is a great movie.

  • you almost made me turn you off when you started that ela shit plz don't do that do yourself a faver

  • I agree with almost all of these. Really good movies, especially Reign Over Me, Alpha Dog, and definitely Death Sentence. I loved that movie so much. Good list!

  • Movies I agreed with you:

    The Lookout

Alpha Dog (suprised at this movie)

    Fracture

    Movies I didn't agree with:

Bee Movie (love Seinfeld, but didn't like the story too much)

Norbit (You're right, you must've been in a good movie. lol)

I like that you have no shame in what you like. Good picks :)

  • I hate Mark Wahlberg so much.

  • i like your picks i thought norbit was good too

  • Have you seen any new ones in theaters lately?

I've seen several Wolverine 5/10 Star Trek 9/10 Terminator 4 6/10 The Hangover 8/10 The Taking of Pehlam 123 7/10 Public Enemies 8/10

  • Not too much. I did see Bruno this weekend. It was funny, but quite disturbing in some parts. Not as good as Borat IMO.

  • yoooo wtf where transformers :( meanie

  • I really liked this list of movies. In my opinion Oceans Thirteen should have made the list. Mr. Woodcock, Norbit, and The Ex are absolutely awful. If you could make a list of 2008 movies that would be great. Thanks. Great list

  • I really wasn't planning on making a list for 2008 cause I found it to be a bad year for movies. I do have some of my favs of the year listed on my channel though.

  • saw this video randomly... and i saw mostof the movies you mentioned andi really liked your picks, one thing thought... i wish you said more about death sentence, to me it was a really good movie, kinda like up there with taken.

  • Yeah I wish I could have talked more about all the movies. But with 25 movies, time was a factor.

  • I loved Norbit, unlike many others. Nice list, very good opinions!

  • Thank you. I received so much flack for this pick. It is good to see someone agree with me.

  • IN TO THE WILD is the best movies it shud be added in that list

  • o ok i hear ya. It was prob the worst yuear in a long time. Anyway srry again for bugging u.

  • No problem at all.

  • lol rusty srry i keep asking u this but r u almost ready for a 2008 list ? ? ?

  • IDK. I was thinking about not doing one. 2008 wasn't the best year for movies in my opinion. Maybe just a top 10.

  • o cool

  • o ya i cant wait 2 c crank 2 it got good reviews i heard so how was hannah montanna lol and srry i ask u so many qestions lol

  • It was OK. Not as bad as you would think.

  • Rusty did u c the crank 2 yet cause i wanted to no if it was good or not, bc it was not screened for critics

  • No my girlfriend made me watch Hanna Montana instead. It looks pretty awesome though.

  • lol thanks

  • its ok everyone has there own opinion i dont get why people get so crazy if we people dint like a movie but people have their own opinions.

  • You are a wise man.

  • ya for me friday the 13th was like 6/10 movie it was just ok i would give taken 6/ 10 also and knowing 6/10 but i havent seen watchmen rusty what would u give the dark knight and slumdog millionaire i would give the dark knight 10/10 and i would give slumdog millionaire 8/10 a good movie but a little bit overrated and for me didnt deserve best picture but slumdog millionaire was still a good film !!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Yeah I can agree with you on Slumdog Millionaire. As for The Dark Knight, I know I will probably be attacked for saying this, but I am not that into the superhero movies. I didn't really like Ironman or The Hulk either.

  • You'd still have to admit that you enjoyed Ledger's performance in the Dark Knight, even haters of that movie say he was great.

  • Yeah, Ledger was great.

  • Have you seen any 2009 movies yet?

    Taken 7/10

    Friday the 13th 5/10

    Knowing 7/10

    Watchmen 8/10

  • I saw Friday the 13th. I would probably give it a 5/10.

  • norbit? ....-_-

  • Interesting list. Plus, I though you had some interesting opinions on a couple of those films, and you made me want to see some of these that I did not know about. This is how lists should be made.

  • Thanks!

  • what about transformers, it was sick! and thanks for giving me movies to look up :D

  • i really dident like bee movie, surprised it made ur list, but everything else is good

  • This dude. is fucking HOT!

  • A couple of things you mentioned I disagree with..but you make valid points. For example: Norbit wasn't really that good in my opinion, however just because it was rated worst movie doesn't meant you should listen to critics all the time..you really gotta see it for yourself to judge..good job, man on the pics of 2007.

  • Thanks. That is what a lot of people don't understand. Everybody has different opinions.

  • rusty u gotta make an 08 list sometimes i disagree with u but ur reviews are awesome

  • Yeah, i'll wait a few months till i see more of them.

  • are you going to make one for 2008?

Mr. Brooks- this movie was good. good spot

Breach- ehhh. I didn't care for it

No Country for Old Men- Ha this movie scared the crap out of me lol. Well made movie, deserved the oscar but i like Fargo better

  • Yeah, ill prob make one for '08, but not until i see most of them. Prob around May.

  • Wasn't a big fan of Mr Woodcock. Not terrible, just not my favorite. But I'll agree with you on most :)

  • I loved Beowulf, i put it at number one but its only cause i didn't see No Country, Gone Baby Gone, or There will be blood until after. Nice list btw.

  • i didnt know 25 movies were made in 2007

  • lol, quite a few more than 25 were made

  • You need to turn down the trailer volume a lil,I can barley hear ya.

  • Thanks, a few people have pointed this out. I will know for next year.

  • i only saw four movies on his video

  • Your reviews are well done. For myself, I feel Hollywood has lost its way and the few movies I rent make me roll my eyes and usually turn off the movie before it's over. Comedies are by far the worst. But, I commend you on your patience and doing what you enjoy. Keep it up.

  • Yes I agree. I usually have to sit through a few bad ones before I see one I really like.

  • Your review's nice man. looking forward to 2008's.

  • spoilers mother faucker where you live?

  • dude maybe u shouldnt play the movie at the same time u talk cuz i cant hear u

  • just out of curiosity what made you want to watch Norbit after all the bad reviews?

P.s did you really think Norbit was better than no country for old men?

  • Cause I watch almost everything that comes out. I am not going to not watch a movie because everyone hates it. There have been plenty of times that I liked a movie that everyone hated or I hated a movie that everyone liked. My opinion is always you will never know until you watch.

  • Use doublle negatives like 'not going to not...' I think you gotta lotta negativity in ya. I aint mad at ya, young'ne.

  • As far as Norbit being ahead of No Country For Old Men, this has got to be the most discussed topic about my video. Let me just say that it is real hard to compare a comedy to a non comedy. A movie that can make me laugh a lot of times will carry a heavier weight in my grading process.

  • No, see, it's reaLLy easy win rate the movies based on the elements of a fine film. U will discover you like more films once you do and will appreciate movie industry. Can a young'on do that, yes!...

  • Or betta than Codename: The Cleana? Booo u!

  • wow, cannot agree with any of these movies so far. Thought 'No Country' was brilliantly crafted, but nihilistic in its worldview!

  • was I'm not there any good?

  • Never heard of it.

  • its a movie with 6 people playing Bob Dylan at different points in his life.

  • Is this the movie Heath Ledger was working on when he died?

  • no it came out in late 07 the one your think of doesn't come out until 09

  • what about die hard 4 and things we lost in the fire?

  • I hated things we lost in the fire. I was pretty bored by it. Die Hard was pretty good.

  • Norbit wtf

  • HOW YOU DOIN?!

  • Norbit was good, i just like eddie murphy's character as norbit, he was nice

  • I got a lot of flack for that pick. Thanks for agreeing with me.

  • vacancy?, shoot em up?, evan almighty? were any of those guilty pleasures of yours

  • Not really. Vacancy and and shoot em up were OK. Didn't really like Evan Almighty.

  • elah elah ur gay

  • what did u think of 300 and resurrecting the champ?smokin aces? assassination of jessie James?

  • 1408? Blades of Glory? Cloverfield?

  • 1408 was good. Blades of Glory I expected to hate but it was OK. Cloverfield I liked but from 2008.

  • sicko?

  • Actually didn't see that one.

  • were charlie wilson's war and before the devil knows your dead any good?

  • Before the devil knows your dead was OK. I really didn't like Charlie Wilson's War though. Not my kind of movie.

  • no contry SUCKS BALLS

  • my english is not so good but i want to say first Thx 2 Rusty i always looking for new good movies i can watch.and your videos really helping.

and can you or someone else tell me a good movie with the style of "THE MECHANIST" or "The jacket" if someone know wtf i mean ;)

  • Hey thanks! No I can't think of one off the top of my head but if I do I will let you know.

  • seriously mr. brooks at #25?? dude that movie is awesome i think it would of at least been at #11 or something. but its your opinion=)

  • did you see grindhouse by any chance? If so was it any good?

  • Yes I saw it and I was really let down by it. After Pulp Fiction and Kill Bill, my expectations were high. Both movies were just OK but nothing great.

  • well rusty I rushed to rent gone baby gone, and ghess what I didn't like it sorry, I prefer knocked up, and you know what you totally forgot about dan in real life and into the wild I think those are great movies....... also enchanted (sorry I am girl)

  • Sorry you didn't like it. I think you are the first that I hear say they didn't like it. I really didn't like the other movies you mentioned. I guess our tastes are a little different since you are a girl.

  • I love Norbit! I thought No Country For Old Men was a little over rated though...but it was still good.

  • Wow. I think you are the first person to ever agree with me on Norbit. That's great!!!

  • i would have replaced norbit with either zodiac, into the wild, or American gangster, maybe disturbia, that was a good one and dan in real life was way better than norbit.

  • Yep, Norbit definitely my guilty pleasure pick.

  • The movie shooter was amazing.

First off I'm a huge fan of Mark Whallberg. His acting is incredible!

That movie should have deffinitly been farther up the list.

Other than that it was good.

Thanks for posting your thoughts :D

  • did u like the kingdom? I actually thought it was pretty good.

  • Yeah, it was pretty good.

  • my guilty pleasure for 2007 would probably have to be License to Wed, I actually thought it was pretty funny. Does anybody agree?

  • Naw, I can't get behind you on that one. Although I like John Krasinski (from The Office of course) and love Mandy Moore I really only thought a couple parts were funny.

  • this was a good presentation.can i ask what program you used to make it?

    cheers

  • Thanks. I used Pinnacle Studio Version 9 and Windows Movie Maker.

  • I like the list, but i would have placed Alpha Dog a bit higher.

  • good choices. But sometimes turn the audio off The movie

  • i disagree with Bee movie..it started off good and then went in a really dumb direction

  • this is a pretty good list but I would have added dan in real life and disturbia.

  • bee movie is cute and I thought Mr.Woodcock was actually pretty clever. Shawn William Scott is gr8 =PP

    good job =))

  • Thanks. Those are two that I really haven't been hearing people agree with too much.

  • I agree with your comments about Wahlberg. I think Boogie Nights really set it off for him.

  • i dis agree with soo much norbit?? the ex? and no country for old men should be HIGHER

  • "No country for old men" should be much higher up the list, n norbit is the worst movie i've seen.

  • Mr.Woodcock shouldn't have been on the list billy bob thorton has done way better movies than that, i think you pronounce elah like E.Lie,and Norbert Was one of eddy movies rather horrible movies.

  • no u pronounce it ella

  • pls do not talk at the same time of the vidoes ok

  • haha norbit is two spots above no country for old men. if this guy new anything about cinema no country would be in the top 5 easy

  • where is your 2006 countdown??

  • Well, I never officially made a video for it. From what I remember, the Top 5 was

    5. The Departed

    4. Jackass 2

    3. Lucky Number Sleven

    2. Little Miss Sunshine

    1. Borat

  • i have 1 question.

where did you get the clips to all of these movies?

  • You are on the site right now. Mostly from YouTube.

  • Hey - love your spin on reviewing all these movies. Cool to hear the reviews and I like how you spliced the different clips of the movies. Only thing - I can hardly hear what you (or the starts) are saying from time to time because the vocals overlap. If you could, turn down the character's vocals next time.

Otherwise - I'm actually going to go rent some of these. Thanks - ca316

  • Hey thanks. I tried to turn down the volume on the clips. I guess I didn't turn them down enough.

  • im just curious as to how u could rank norbit ahead of no country for old men, though i must agree, javier barden (spelling?) was incredible in this movie

  • It is the thing I am getting the most flack for from all the picks. And every person that asks me this, I tell them the same thing. We all have our guilty pleasure picks that we like and no one else does. So let me ask you. What are some of your guilty pleasure picks?

  • i gotta say for 08, my guilty pick would be drillbit taylor...the fat kid just cracks me up lol

  • Well. Let say that there is good movies in the list. Death Sentece is good, why 19. Beowulf is also good (I am not reader but I have read about Beowulf). Shoote is pretty good but Marky Mark is so lousy actor, I don't like him. He is but in Departed and now, he will play Max Payne (which is Finnish made video game, I am from Finland). Javier Bardem is so ugly and bad in movie, he don't know how to act and he ruins so good movie. Javier Bardem suchs!!! Now. Let see what is in list 10-1.

  • rusty r u makin a 08 one?

  • Sure, but I usually wait till I see almost everything to come out that year. Having to wait for the DVDs to be released usually means that I don't get to make my list until about May. So needless to say that will be a long ways away.

  • I think BEE MOVIE should be 22

  • I went to the bee movie high. It was the dumbest movie ive ever seen, i don't even remember it I just remember laughing my ass off in one scene.

  • ok, ur vid is a great help BUT beowulf was one of the worst movies i ever saw, oh and instant classics, hot rod was good, but the jokes were to cheap for a mention.

  • What didn't you like about Beowulf?

  • well, first of all the animation was very unlife like in my opinion, beowulf was a very cocky character and the plot wasnt that great either. This is my opinon so dont get offended if u loved it lol

  • yes i didn't like the animation of Beowulf.

but it was a good movie.

  • Thanks Man, Your Vid does help a lot!

hope you will do the same as it is this year(even better) B)

  • I think Hot Rod deserves a mention, i actualy found that pretty funny

  • I really didn't care for it too much. It had a couple of good laughs.

  • no country for old men should be in the top 5 at least

  • That seems to be the main pick people are disagreeing with.

  • best movies ever... transformers , armageddin and point break

  • Norbit? Norbit!?!?!?! Are you kidding me??? Okay, first of all, including this on any Top countdown is pretty low, but having it actually beat No Country For Old Men??? Now, that's just wrong.... However, you did include Alpha Dog which surprised me, because that movie was good and highly underrated. But Norbit....why Norbit....

  • I figured I would catch some heat for that pick. Like I said, maybe I was just in a good mood when I watched it. It made me laugh.

  • Yeah, maybe I shorted it a little bit. But I don't know if I could have put it ahead of anything in the Top 10. I Now Pronounce You Chuck And Larry maybe, but it is so hard to compare a good comedy to a movie like NCFOM.

  • Man! No Country for Old Men should of been in the top 10 at least!
