  • You'll like this ...Thanks for watching!!!

  • I just ordered one, can't wait to fill it up- just looking to see what everyone else puts in theirs... :P

Yeah, I think you should keep some survival items in a first aid kit... If you get injured and HAVE to drop your pack you should have a backup.

  • The "back" as you called it is actually the front.

  • where did you get that fishing box/tackle box? who makesit and what is it called? Couldn't find anything on the Plano website. The 1070 is close but yours looks different.

    Thanks.

  • dualberettas ...Gander Mountain is where I got mine and it is the Plano 1070...I just took the dividers out of the top section its the same box....Good luck!!!

  • @cjc5531 Thanks!

  • Great little kit there buddy, definitely thinking of getting one of these bags as a back up. Something I have noticed while looking through various video's of survival first aid kits is the lack of Major bleed gear. I have an extensive medical kit (EMT during the day) and something that I carry is a Combat Application Tourniquet. You do not need to be trained to use one but in an emergency they could save your life. Also maybe some form of wound closure. Great video, enjoyed it lots. Thanks :o)

  • QuadResponse...Thanks so much for watching and I really appreciate your EMT input of adding the major bleed gear. That's something I'll sure try to add to my kits.....Maybe like the quikclot....Thanks again!!!!

  • I can't tell if the first aid kit is od green or foliage green.

  • TheMidnightCity ...It is Khaki...

  • Who makes the little packets of electrolytes? Ive been lookin for something that size

    Thanks

  • @ridah925 ...Gatorade, Ocenspray, Tang and those happen to be Propel...Hope that helps..

  • Great video, I MD also and use the jumbo versipack to ccw carry. MDing can be dangerous by yourself these days! I like this pouch and will get one to fit in the my TJ and the jumbo versipack. BTW, like the analogy of baking soda and duct tape. Here in Fla we use meat tenderizer. Thanks for the post.

  • joesphx19 ....Yeah that's a shame that you can't MD or for that matter even day hike without always having to have a watchful eye....Have to remember the one about meat tenderizer...Thanks for watching...

  • @cjc5531

Adolph's is the best thing going for various things like spider bites and man of war stings. I've used it on jellyfish before but had a chance to use it on a brown recluse bite on a fellow hiker. It worked until we got him to the hospital.

  • joesphx19....Thanks for the information I always learn somethng new ...Take care!!!

  • Whats the difference between this kit and the F.I.G.H.T bag?

  • BKSinAZ ...Fr-1 has more compartments in it where the F.I.G.H.T. only has a couple of larger pockets

  • Hey i just found your vids and all i can say is wow! Great vids very well made. Thanks!

  • severzero ......Welcome and thanks for the kind comment....

  • @cougarbahia --- This is the second Maxpedition review (different reviewers) I've seen where you've tried to bum a free bag off the reviewer. Does that routine ever work???

  • love the vid gr8 job. just wondering would u have an extra Maxpedition FR-1 Pouch you could either give me or sell me cheap? ty karen

    BugOutBag101 dot com

  • @DeathOfTheDollar2010 ...Thanks!!!

  • Nice review but the problem is with these small survival kits is durability and timespan

Give me the neosporian and a real survival knife over a bunch of little items any day :3

  • ViolentKisses87 ...Thanks for watching...

  • @cjc5531 Your welcome:)

    I enjoyed the video

  • @ViolentKisses87 looks more EDC then survival to me odd thing to me is the weird mix i see in these reminds me of jack of all tades mast of none..i think its smarter to have one for first aid of for emergency survival and a EDC and not mix them

  • just received mine in the mail. love it you have so much space. perfect for a small bob. or edc in your car.

  • woodlandman105 ..Its a great little organizer could do without it....

  • Solid review. Good work.

  • Thanks so much....

  • Where can I get one, I didn't catch that in the video

  • Put a few tampons in. They plug puncher wounds really well.

Tape around the end of the tubes prevents it from puncturing your bag.

I like spray on band aid for some small scratches.

Wrap some gorilla tape around a credit card, its great stuff.

1 or two small medical clamps are good for stopping bleeding and don't weigh much.

Supper glue is always handy stuff.

A tube with some powerful pain killers (with codeine) can help treat shock. Crush them for faster effect.

  • Good to know stuff...Thanks!!!!

  • is your watch a casio /, could you do a review on it

  • Yes it is ....I'll try to do one sometime...Thanks for watching

  • I'm not an expert or whatsoever but i liked this kit so great. Includes granula bars/energy bars etc. But do you carry a pocket knife or something sir ? =)

  • Thanks so much....I do have a small blade shown in part II and since then I also have added a small fixed blade that is shown in another one of my VID's...Thanks for watching...

  • Thanks for a great vid!!! Can you tell me where you got that sweet little tackle box from, or any info that would help me locate one just like it?

  • From Gander Mountain and I know Bass Pro also has these...I sent you a link...Good Luck...

  • Great vid Cjc. Just got my two in the mail today!

  • Good deal...I'm sure you'll like it....

  • This is next in line for my bob I was thinking of 2 in fact...one for first aid and 1 for other stuff.

Nice review its hard to talk fluidly about a product and not waffe.

  • It's a great pouch and I'm glad I bought two...Thanks for watching...

  • I really love this video, especially as a beginner with very few real emergencies under my belt I am still trying to compose my own optimal Survival Kit. I love the look of this FR-1, and all the webbings to fasten things under. The store I know of that sells maxpedition in my area sells these for quite a bit of money, and i'm thinking alot about how much I wanna spend on one for this purpose.

Can the FR-1 handle water? It seems very robust otherwise!

    Keep up the good work!

  • Very good video. I've been looking for a new bag for my FAK. I think I've found it. Thanks for posting and keep up the good work.

    5/5

  • Thanks, Its a very good fit for the FAK ...Thanks for watching...

  • Thanks so much....

  • Great VID!!! I am going to put one together almost just like it... Thanks for the Inspiration!!!

  • Thanks!! you'll really like the FR-1 goes everywhere with me....

  • Great VID also...

  • Thanks!!!

  • Thanks!!!

  • great review if i could make a suggestion i would take the filter that you have and replace it with a 50 gallon water filter from aquamira its the frontier pro

  • Got one for my larger pack...this FR-1 is just my emergency / survival kit. Thanks for the suggestion and thanks for watching...

  • Another great review!
