  • Ian in pirated of the carribean

  • being a dutch woman, i spent a lot of time on my bike and i always listen to this song....i go so fast like the big fast car.

  • Les Warner's drumming is a fine drummer, especially on the Electric album, but man would I love to see Mark Brzezicki playing this song!

  • You've all heard Ian sing with The Doors right? Scary good. Creepy actually. He looks like Jim would look if he hadn't died at age 27. And it isn't just the Jim-like hairstyle. It's Ian's face, everything, and certainly his voice, Jesus, what a miracle this man was, is. I was 20 years old in 1985 and running around NYC nightclubs like a Gothic punk rocker tart, but I'm so sad to say I never saw The Cult live...:(

  • Vampires! The the is appropriate! :)

  • Billy is The Cult

  • CFFC!!!!

  • Saw them in 85' when they opened for Billy Idol, LA Colosseum and we went just to see The Cult. I hate f'ing Billy Idol (after gen-x anyways... ). Ian sucked wind the whole show, just like in this vid, out of breath all night long. Too much junk I guess??? Great songwriters yet lame performers...

  • @gravyonwheels and.....that would be your opinion--! My opinion is.... that your opinion is lame! lol

  • @gravyonwheels Ian might be a bit hit and miss live but Billy is always on his A game

  • This reminds me of when I saw them in 85', LAME!

He was out of breath after the first stanza.

  • Pathetic closet case. Spat homophobia from the stage then picked the cutest str8 guy out of the audience for later. Prancing in makeup is kinda out already, isn't it Ian?

  • @gregrocker2 What do you mean out--do you know how long ago he wore makeup? He has not worn make up for along time and who cares anyway--(he is brilliant and you apparently have issues with that). How rich are you off your talent? Lighten up Greg.......

  • @gregrocker2 you dumbass. This performance is circa 1988 or so. You are the one out of step. Zzzzzz

  • @ThatRascal Nope. This is nothing past 1985, debut '86. After that time, the Electric look came fast. You should want to be sure of what you write before you commit yourself foolishly.

  • @patrickfiorilalonde, OK so I might have missed the year by 2 or 3 years. My point is that this is from the 1980s. gregrocker said " Prancing in makeup is kinda out already, isn't it Ian?" as if this is recent footage. This is one of the best songs off one of the best albums ever.

  • @ThatRascal Ok. Love is a fantastic album, one of the best, as you said. I kinda like Hollow Man more nowadays. I also like Dreamtime and Electric a lot. The magical effort stopped there for me, as after that, I felt comercialized more than entertained.

  • The Cult Love Is one of the albums of the 80's best ever made

  • Good luck trying to find a copy of Cult : Love on cd. I've had little luck and my LP and tape are both worn out. heh.

  • @300minus ebay and amazon

  • @300minus download the whole album from mp3panda - dot - com

  • @300minus Mine got worn out too, it's available on c.d. and they have re -released it remastered and the sound is amazing on the re-mastered c.d. ,try amazon or Sacred Soul the Cult sanctuary:}

  • come on now

  • a magic album. Billy's sound is amazing

  • The Medicine band.Shamanic experience in Valencia.Thank u eternallyxxxxxxxxxx.GRACIAS!!

  • Is he wearing the Seinfeld "Puffy Shirt"?

  • Is he wearing the Seinfeld "puffy shirt"?

  • Besides their great music is their devoted fans. Even better those who really don't care for the Cult don't look for them on youtube. Its people like us ... and just look at all (mostly) the positive remarks. No dicks like with just about any other band. Seeing them in Boston this weekend. Long time coming because I hadn't seen em since Sonic Temple. ROCK!!!!!!!!

  • The cult just plain kicks ass all over the rockin Map, the new rockers own these guys alot, and thanks for the lesson

  • Check out the Billy's incredible WHITE FALCON... I love that guitar!

  • Its as big as him ;-)

He signed my Gibson pick guard in 07!!!!

    CFFC

  • @Dalgren969 sure that's not a Gretch?

  • @Killzswich umm...it is! A Gretsch White Falcon!

  • I would love The Cult even I was blind, but- hell, how hot can a man be???

  • Hey Girl,

This is one of my fav Cult vids. Look at Ian's look at 2:58-3:01!!! Damn, they don't get any hotter than him. What sensuality and it comes through his music.

  • alcohol+love= good all days

  • was he talking or pimping

    ???? love !!!

  • Parece piratas no caribe

  • love this song. Some dudes got it- and IAN definitely HAS IT>this man is beyond sexy.

  • Ian's seduces the audience with this song- eye contact at 2:58- incredible. he moves as a sexy panther, engaging everyone with his music and moves.sexy beast...

  • the nasty song , peachtree girls and ponce de leon nuthing runs up NC

  • IMMENSI CULT!!!Ian Astbury,grandissima voce!!

  • Sicuramente una delle piu' belle degli anni 80...un per tutte la mitica "Revolution"!!!!!......altra roba !!!!!!

  • bellissime anche "she sells the sanctuary","wild flower","rain"..bella anche la cover di "born to be wild"

  • Certo!!ho semplicemente scritto "Revolution" perche' forse e' la piu' conosciuta!!!!ciao ciao!!

  • Thanks for this post, it was filmed in my home town and a load of us were in the audience as we had all been into Southern Death Cult. We're all to the right of Astbury in front of Billy Duff. I interviewed Ian and jamie a couple of weeks later.

If you have anymore of the footage, it would be appreciated

i think this post deserves an absinthe salute, cheers
