The immigration is a great tool to reduce the french community geopolitical powers both inside and outside Quebec. When a immigrant becomes a citizen of Canada, he pledges allegiance to the queen and to the country, not to Quebec, which is now recognized as a nation by the english Canada. If they were going to live in Canada itself, there wouldn't be a problem, but they chose to live in Quebec. They should know a minimum about french canadian history as well when they want to become Quebecers.

Finding this turning point could solve problems.

I live in Gatineau, on the Québec/Ontario border and when we, quebecers, go in Ottawa, we ALL speak english because we KNOW that we are on the english side and we have to respect that. The immigration is a great tool to reduce the french community geopolitical powers both inside and outside Quebec. When a immigrant becomes a citizen of Canada, he pledges allegiance to the queen and to the country, not to Quebec, which is now recognized as a nation by the english Canada. If they were going to live in Canada itself, there wouldn't be a problem, but they chose to live in Quebec. They should know a minimum about french canadian history as well when they want to become Quebecers.

From my experience, as you get old, you get scared of everything that is new: fashions, new mentalities, youth in general. The brain becomes less maleable, and you isolate yourself from evolving society. Yet, it is true that when young we are idealists, and are a bit naive. It seems to be a question of vision: idealism or realism. Diversity or integration. I think there is a theoretical maximum amount of immigration a society can tolerate. Finding this turning point could solve problems.

This is true, I think all immigrants need to leave and serve outside quebec. The truth is quebecors don't want us here, I have a masters in Engineering from ecole polytechnique de Montreal and I have a serious problem integrating myself in Quebec like finding a job at least.
OHh not to mention that I speak fluently french and I lived in Quebec for 21 years.

It should have no right to deny immigrants entry into the province. I think you are are misinformed about the immigration process.
In order to be granted Permanent Resident (PR) Status immigrants have to provide evidence that :
- they have a no criminal records
- they have experience in some professional domain
- they are able to speak french and english
- they have some knowledge pertaining the history of Québec/Canada
- they already have a plan of action before immigrating
Refugees/illegal immigrants and PRs are not the same.
PRs are selected.

Quebec society likes to think of itself as an open, tolerant society, but you don't have to dig very deep to see what people really believe. You are tolerated as long as you don't have too much of an accent, as long as your skin is not too dark, you don't look too gay and you keep your mouth shut. I have lived there for about 2 years already. Immigrants will always be regarded as second class citizens.
