This video kinda serves to demonstrate how superior Apple's UI design is to Microsoft's! Although I am sure there are many PPC devices that are not powerful enough to do the animated interface and the scroll thing. And the touch sensor isn't multi-touch, so the zoom gesture cannot be implemented.

I don't think many of the iPhone religious fanatics (and mere worshipers) realize how much of the iPhone 'experience' is just fancy LOOKING software and how little in the iPhone hardware actually is new. It is a LOT easier to get closer to iron-clad patent protection if you produce a product that has novel *hardware*.

I do not agree with chenghoman. It is true that sometimes softwares are often optimized for the piece of hardware that that they are running on. However, hardware configuration of an iphone is quite similar with a pocket pc (620Hz ARM yadda yadda yadda). Selshaldog work is still under development and he did a pretty good job on the emulator.

Nice interface bite, seems you even 'found' the 'Nemo' pic that Apple has. The M600 is thicker & just as expensive, although some would prefer the flexibility the M600 has if you're paying that much for a phone; others will pay that for the iPhone to get the integration and form factor.

I don't know why everyone wants to make their PC phone look like an iPhoneTM. Windows Mobile has been capable of this kind of interface (minus the slider) for years, via apps like Wisbar. Surely someone can make better icons than the boring Mac-esque ones on Apple's phone. BTW, check out the HTC Touch, which should be out today.
