I have a logitech c910 webcam that worked just perfectly until today. Now, everytime I try to get the program running, the window freezes and says, "Not Responding". Sometimes, it will even say that there is no webcam connected, even though it's plugged into my laptop. I figured it was just a fluke or something, but it's been doing it all day.
How come such a enhanced webcam does not have a integrated LED for low light condititions?what are we supposed to do when we have to be in dark? That's a good webcam indeed but it's quite a letdown as well.
I just installed the C910 webcam but i am unable to see where i can "One-click" and embed my video to Facebook. Anyone has any suggestions as to what I did incorrectly? thanks
are you kidding? The C910 was much better quality than the DSL that you used. At least the colors looked better and the sound was better too. I am definitely buying this cam.
I find that the video quality is better on this webcam than on the dslr, at least for video chatting purposes. Your dslr over-saturates the image, and although the frame rate is better more than 15fps at 720p is not going to work well with skype, and that's what I'm looking for in a webcam. Also it hurt my ears to listen to you over your dslr, it picked up all the background noise, whereas the sound from the webcam was awesome. Will buy this webcam because of your review.
I feel like sound quality is always overlooked in webcam reviews. Was any of the sound in this video recorded through the webcam or did you use that fancy snowball in the foreground there?
Resolution is great, works well in lowlight, best webcam for mac in my opinion, but I really don't like the low frame rate. Logitech offers two recording qualities, uncompress which the file size is just huge!!!!! or a compressed quality which is nice looking video, except has a crappy frame rate, which I hate. Shame the software didn't give more control over the export settings.
hey man. i use the Canon EOS utility to auto focus during videos with my T3i. But since i upgraded to lion. it dosent work. are you running lion and if so how are you using the software?thanks!
The 1080p bug might be because USB2.0 data transfer speeds are slow, because frame rate issues are normally caused by the data transfer speeds being too slow.
@macmaster4848 Thats is a good point. The USB 2.0 bus may just not have enough bandwidth to support 1080p video. In addition, the C910 is recording to the hard drive whereas the DSLR is recording to the flash memory card.
@macmaster4848 Not so sure is down to USB2.0 as recording 1080p on a PC with camera is fine. Not tried running on my imac but have heard similar reports for a while with the software. That aside I think its a great camera if you are going to do recording from desktop for the price.
i think that the video on the webcam looks better and the audio of the T2i sounds better...that's just my opinion...Great Job..oh yeah thanks for the friendship!!
Awesome video bro, I'm gonna do a review on my C210 soon. Maybe you can watch it when I upload and give me your thoughts????? Maybe we could do a comparison video together???? Let me know your thoughts.
well off course the DSLR looks WAY better than the C910. I mean it's first off a DSLR vs webcam is fair at all! also the DSLR is about 10 times more expensive than the webcam... I mean the DSLR is meant for shooting pretty professional video's and a webcam is just to have quick chat with a friend and still being able to see him/her. but you just can't compare a webcam to a DSLR. even though a webcam will not reach the quality of a DSLR anytime soon this still is a great webcam for sure!
When you make a web cam review, record the review with it.

Video helped a lot. I have had trouble finding a decent webcam (I've returned 3 already
for not living up to advertised specs. Logitech C910 seems to have the same problem
and thats FPS drops on the higher resolution settings.

Ironically the webcam is better quality then the DSLR

Nice review, well done! Woukd be nice using lavalier microphone for increasing sound quality (for the DSLR-part).

Enjoyed your review of the Logitech HD Pro C910.
Question: What version software are you unhappy with.
I will purchase this model for my Windows 7 64bit computer.
Logitech claims they have improved with updates in
Version: 2.30 Build 13.30.1396
Is this version newer than what you have?

I was just wondering, how does this compare to something like the iphone 4 or smartphone camera?
I currently use my iphone for youtube vids but was thinking to move up a little
so with it being just under 100, the price is very favorable.

Logitech is originally only making products for Windows System, that it works with Mac is only a gift.
The sound quality is better than the cam your using at the moment.
Though the video quality is better on you cam.
Other than that it's a good Cam I liked it when I was testing it out.
Though the 1080p feature works fine with Windows System.
I would not recommend this cam for just skype/msn usage, it a little way too pricie and if you got bad i-net it makes the video weird in skype.
