@TFLH22KING How wrong are you? You need turbo's and a DOHC layout just to make over 200 hp, also not mentioning terrible torque numbers and Fail Wheel Drive. I can buy a RWD, 6 speed, pushrod and naturally aspirated 5.7L LS1 Trans Am on Craigslist for 7k with underrated 325 hp and 350 lb ft. of torque and does 0-60 in 4.7 seconds. On the other hand, I could buy some shitbox FWD Honda with 120 hp and 90 lb ft. of torque and spend thousands to make power and get the 0-60's in the mid 5's. Lolhonda

I own a 240sx n a integra type r and i will always choose rwd over ff but my honda can just take the beating my nissan cant. I think thats y most go for a sloppy b16 n just rip it to shredds

@bluewker Honda motors seem to be built for abuse, high revs n alot of torque. My 240 is built more for race. turbo n full suspension, after a while the aftermarket parts and wiring seem to cause more probs.it also has turbo and that can lower life span of the motor. also because its for racing i baby it more.the teggy is my daily driver and ive had my type r motor for 2 yrs now, n i do put alot of stress on it even on the roads, and its a champ.n yes hondas r that reliable if their light moded

As a completely naive person, how capable are civics truly? When you consider the stock chassis and you think about what you can drop in (k series motors, turbos, etc) I wonder:

1) Is it really worth it in the end to invest into a civic? Why not a RWD?

2) Are they all reliable? Do the K series engine have good CRs?

3) Is the money ultimately a little bit excessive for a car with a name tied to what was intended to be a reliable econobox?

@bluewker civic's are very capable. it denpends on how you modify it (i.e drag car, track car, or DD with more power). civics are also cheap to build up compared to chevys, mazdas, and subaru. and many parts are interchangeable with acuras and different models of civics (i.e cx, dx, lx, hx, ex, si)...but at the end of the day it's up to you to decide to invest your money into :D....to each his own
