It would be a lot helpful if you actuially held the heart the right way round so it would be easier to understand ie. the left and right side of the heart. Great vid

Back when I was in university my mate and I had to open a dog's heart for anatomy class at our veterinary med school. My friend took a bite of the raw heart. We both are veterinarians now.

@jfutach The first vessel she cuts is the pulmonary artery, which takes blood from the right ventricle to the lung. (as she cut, she entered into the RV as she cut the vessel. The large open "O" shaped vessel is the Aorta. That comes from the left ventricle and takes blood to the body. The Left ventricle, due to size wraps around to the back side of the heart, Where the RV is smaller and on the right front of the heart.

Thanks! Yes the pig heart is closer to the human heart than the cows. The cows heart is much bigger than a human heart.
