They also describe themselves as "socially awkward", but have like 100 hipster friends, who they have sex and trade Pez dispensers with. But to quickly explain; the fashion, music, ect. is all reminiscent of the beginning of the hipster era. Of course, it's been 2 years since the movie was released, and current hipsters have moved onto less trendy fashions and music. But in the beginning, 500DOS was the handbook.
