I used to like Bill Clinton, but his disengenuous "support" of Obama-which when you watch him looks more like McPain support and a dream of Billary '12--leaves me cold. I used to like him. He's not doing nearly enough for Barack, nor is Hillary. If they don't care, fine, but they shouldn't claim to be helping him.
and what else do you want him to do?? tattoo obama 08 on his forhead?? jesus christ the guy just said he wants obama to win and he gave a great speech supporting him at the convention.... and hillary has campaigned more than any other runner up in the history of these elections what else do you want her to do??
What what would you call "doing enough"? If you saw him on t.v. more than you saw Obama, then you'd say he's trying to hog the spotlight as people have accused him of before during Hillary's campaign. He is supporting him, in ways that are not so publicized and will not in any way defer attention away from Obama.
Also, you don't know what is going on in his mind. He seems genuine to me, but he is also a man who does not get overly-excited, so if you are expecting him to jump out of his seat or on the couch like Tom Cruise, then you are looking at the wrong man. But I think it's wrong to assume what he truly feels for Obama considering that he is speaking in glowing terms of him.

"GirlieRat", um, those are "glowing" terms? I think they are tepid. He called John McCain "great" and Clinton "good." No wonder SNL spoofed Clinton's lackluster support last night.
Well, you obviously see what you want to see because since you support Obama, everyone else opposed to or whom has ever took issue with him will be criticized. I don't expect the man to do back-flips over Obama. He speaks highly of him and his potential as President. He gave the same kind of "lackluster support" that Obama gave during the primaries of Clinton, especially after her concession speech and of which he now gives for McCain. So let's not point fingers here.
Let's please TRY and follow the good example Clinton just made! I'm soooo tired of the name calling, rude, ugly lies. You do NOT get votes this way. And the people only blaming Bush need to learn about the three branches of government. A word you may not know is Congress. But thank you Mr. Clinton for showing what having some class and good manners looks like!!
I was ready to vote for McCain, but with the crisis, wars, Bush lies now i'm quite sure, i'm gonna vote for OBAMA , pals of mine have just lost their houses and jobs, the GOP and BUSH are destroyin' the country. With Mccain things gonna worsen. Sure.
Bill Clinton was a great president. And as a former Hillary Clinton supporter, I am a proud democrat and will be voting for Obama/Biden on November 4!

No you were not! Fuck off Obamatron! Let the people decide for themselves. Hillary was way better qualified than Obama, you Obamatrons fucked up the elections and now we are fucked no matter who wins. Obama Bin Biden/McCain Palin. It is 4 more years of shit. Fuck you Please!

Yes... Obamatrons fucked up America for 4 more, now give em' back the favor Bill. Fuck em all! No matter who wins it will be four more years of Shit! You will have to wait 4 years till Obama learns what the Presidency is, or you will have a lame McCain, who if he dies, will leave you with Palin the tard. I wont even talk about Biden the drunk! So yes, in short, Fuck You All! The people will get what they deserve! Ha!
If you are involved enough to post on Youtube backing Obama, then you ought to be out right now canvassing for Democrats. Have you spoken with your neighborhood and church about how Democratic plans will help them? Have you visited Obama's site to donate? Have you asked everyone if they are voting and made sure they understood Obama's plans? BOOTS ON THE GROUND WIN ELECTIONS. There are people without healthcare (like my uncle) whose lives depend on this election. We honestly need you to help.
The US is in one of the greatest economic struggles in our history. McCain says he doesn't get the economy. Stop and think. We knew Bush was an idiot, but voted him in because he said he & Cheney would be "compassionate conservatives." For that, we got two wars, phones tapped and a junk economy. So I say again, John McCain flatout told you he doesn't understand the economy. He almost failed out of college. McCain, Bush and Cheney all want to continue to waste trillions on a war they lied us into
Most of you white PC democrats make me sick. you know that when you get in that booth you wont vote for a black man. America will show its true colors in 08.

Fuck You Racist! Obamatron! Ignorant asshole! If you feel this way why not move to Africa where they pick black Presidents/Governors, or whatever they call it there all the time. Who gives a fuck if the President is black, it is about experience! Obama has none! So STFU!
It is quite unfortunate that BILL is pushing the MAC card to facilitate the nomination of Hillary in 2012. He knows that a MAC administration would be devasting for our Economy, and that would make easier for Hillary to win.
I respect BILL as former president, but in this instance I truly regret his misguidance.
We all Americans have to vote for the President that will save our Economy from Collapse, not the one that will make us win political points.
Ugh, even Bill is talking about this "POW" crap. There are many former POWS in this country, that shouldn't be a requirement for being president. I like his honesty though.
he may say he's for obama out of democratic allegiance, but because i think he secretely wants mccain to win so hillary can run against him in 2012....
but because of this balancing act, it has made him appear convincingly neutral and genuine - which is a refreshing take considering all of this bombardment of media bias to left and right.
I think of course UserP knows. I think he/she meant it either jokingly or as a more serious question: can term limitation be amended so that a person like Bill Clinton can still come back.
Everyone is entitled to opinion, we do not always have to agree. However, decades of political divisionary tactics, possible family tradition and narrow-minded ignorance created and perpetuates the mess we are in today. We are the only ones held accountable for the trillions of dollars squandered with no explaination at all. Nope! Not me, never again.

<3 Bill Clinton he played it perfect. He was NOT on the show to appease people who are already voting for Obama. If he came out too enthusiastic he would turn off some of the undecided people. He was talking to them. Not to those who have already made up their mind. His speech at the convention was talking to Hillary supporters. Bill knows the game and did a great job at playing it.
I miss Bill! I'm glad that he was respectful of McCain. I for one believe that Obama can still win without demonizing McCain. I think the Palin choice was all the damage needed to make sure that McCain doesn't get elected. I would love to vote for a woman in office but not one that doesn't support other women. One of the biggest examples of that is the whole making women who are victims of sexual assault pay for their own rape investigation kits. So wrong.
Actually, Governor Palin required that rape victims WITH INSURANCE should have the cost of the kits paid for. Those without coverage received kits paid for by State taxpayors. She was saving taxpayor money and not denying access to the kits for uninsured women. Now that you know the truth, do you support Palin? Probably not, because you are an obamasheep.
Now why is it that you feel the need to resort to name calling? That's sure to win people over. So let me get this right YOU believe it is acceptable for a victim with insurance to have their insurance company be billed for a procedure that is needed for a criminal investigation? When does this happen w/any other crime? You see the "truth" through your own perspective & attack others because they disagree. I see it differently & don't feel the need to attack you back.
BRAVO! You said it well. The kit has nothing to do with a medical TREATMENT. It has to do with a CRIMINAL INVESTIGATION. The logic is completely absent here except for if Palin is placing the value of the taxpayer dollar over the rights of a woman or child that has been the victim of a violent crime.
He's not pushing the McCain card. he's analysing the situation in a cold rational way as it should be. He is democrat, he admires Obaba, his politics are in line with Obama, he detailed explained while Obama will win and most importantly his entire economic cabinet is working with Obama on th economy.
Now saying he is pushing McCain is really ridiculous
There are key signals that clearly indicate he is not fully supporting Obama. Once asked directly who does he think will win, he waited a moment before answering Obama.
I think is time that all democrats unite to support the man that will bring to Washington the Democratic ideals. I was Hillary supporter, and I will always admire her, but now my FULL support is for Obama.
Bill should put now his ideals ahead of his personal aspirations.
not all of America wants those democratic ideals. I do see your point about bill however but I found him very respectful and a breath of fresh air when compared to most.
These broads (except Hasslebeck) should all kneel in front of Bill a blow him. I mean, that's how they're treating him with their softball questions. How come such so called feminists have no problem, whatsoever, with this guy's degradation of women? I mean, I don't have a problem with him; I think married guys should be allowed to have extra on the side. I'm not the hypocrite.

And like mindless drowns, You just keep eating it up.. Its really DUMB of you all.
Why do you hate Bill? He is a cool guy! By logic, you dont like cool, smart, articulate men that have changed the world, YOU MUST BE an arrogant, idiotic, worthless SONOFA BITCH.
Bill's a dammed liar, THATS why I don't like the son of a bitch,, He's there on that stupid liberal show with those idiot, cackling, hens to pitch his book to more idiots... to make a buck off you idiots.Neither of the Clinton's could tell the truth if their lives depended on it. THEY both are the least sincere human beings I have ever witnessed.. YOU andrer2006 are blind as a bat.

I'm a total Republican and... Bill Clinton is sexy for some reason. Smart, articulate he makes Bush look very very bad. I just wish he had kept it in his pants and kept the U.S. on a straighter course with terror. I am always mindful that the affair with Lewinsky happened exactly at the same time he got the call that the Sudan was offering him Bin Laden on a silver platter. Oh, Bill. You are a flawed sinner just like the rest of us. If only...
To those commenting about increased taxes under Democrats...we are all part of the system and must support our prosperity so TAXES HIGHER OR LOWER ARE NOT A BAD THING. You want the benefits of our great nation, than support it! As for Obama he's the right man at the right time of turmoil and down turn as was Bill Clinton. McCain has it all wrong, the economy is NOT sound, he NOW supports the bail out after opposing it, he is wrong and wrong for the country. Bush on STEROIDS!
I'm sorry, but Bill's talking about McCain 2000 and not McCain 2008. I think it's nice the democrats aren't all rattling off the same talking points, but sometimes their objective nature hurts them when facing a group of blindly trusting followers.
Despite the charachter flaws that led to his impeachment and a few bad calls like the National Housing Initiative that led to the current mortgage institution crisis Bill was a pretty good president. His innate charisma allowed him to put through welfare reforms that no other president could have accomplished.
bill hit the nail right in the head about people believing they have to find something wrong with the person their not voting for....bring bill back to the white house please
Clinton's non-endorsement of Obama spoke volumes. What had been only idle speculation among pundits is now crystal clear; the Clintons do not want to stump for Obama.
Whoever wins this election will have a very tough go of it given the wrecked economy. The Clintons (and frankly, many in the Democratic Party) would be quite happy to forfeit this presidential election to the Republicans and watch McCain make a muddled go of it. Then, in 2012, Hillary would have a great shot at the presidency.
It's the only way Hillary could ever be president. She may not want it in 2016 but, as Bill says, the way people vote is a personal matter. There were lots of older women who said they wanted to live to see a women president. They may be voting just for a women and might not all be around in 8 more years. Just like some people may think they have only a few years left and think they don't want to see a black as president. No wonder why this race is so close when it should be a blowout for Obama.
But the question of whether The Clintons and many Democrats wouldn't mind forfeiting this election and run Hillary in 2012 is telling. If they were true Democrats and believed their platform would be better for the American people, then the implication is they would rather let the us endure 4 more years of bad policy for greed and a lust for power.
I am a Hillary supporter and I somewhat agree with you mickeysears, except I have noticed that the fake cheerleading for McCain to see Obama hurt is out of anger, a desire for revenge. I, for one, feel this election is about more than revenge. I'll quote Hillary: "Barack Obama is my candidate, and he must be our President!"
I guess it would really come down to this, would you rather have McCain in Office?? This is something that constantly happens among the democratic party, they never work together to get one of their candidates elected, usually, they just fighting each other, and the republican end up winning in the end. I'm just stating what i have observed, as i am nether a democrat or republican.
For the undecided people, WHAT specifically do you need to hear that you haven't heard during this entire year and a half?? I mean look the truth is am I REALLY going to hurt if freakin taxes go up??? I mean really. I think there is never going to be a full 100% of truth from any politician but you have to go with who you like best and who you personally feel shares the same of some of the same issues you believe in. Pick one. A or B.Oh by the way, Palin is SOO overrated.Who's the celebrity now?
Exactly Beagle... that is what I said earlier! He is the only one I'd feel confident to get us out of the economic mess we're in! Not only is he smart and understands the details of every issue there is, he would also do it because he would want to be the one who got credit for doing it! That may sound bad to some people, but who cares what the motivation is... as long as the job gets done right and successfully!!! Bill Clinton 2008!!! :-)))
Oh crap... that's just the way he feels... he likes both of them... I think it's hard for him to badmouth McCain because he respects him in many ways. That's why Bill was a good Prez... he got along and could work with many people, even the opposing party. Of course there are partisan people who cant stand that in him, but to bad! That's why he's so successful... even Bush Sr got won over and is friends with Bill!!! The guy has a gift!
Did anyone notice how Elizabeth was cut out of a lot of shots? Was this done on purpose by The View or did the person that uploaded the video do this.
The worse prez ever?? You could not possibly be talking about Bill Clinton.. go back and look at the economy and or relations with other countries when he was Prez... obviously, you dont have a clue how horrible the last 8 years have been under Bush!!!
Honesty? How about honestly saying, "I don't want Obama to win so Hillary can run again in 2012". That's honesty. What he did was side step. He's still a politician no matter what he says.
Could Bill have been more transparent? Could he have talked any more about McCain and any less about Obama? He and his wife are campaigning for 2012. They need for him to lose. If you call yourself a democrat and say you are supporting the Democratic nominee, you don't spend most of your time talking up the Republican nominee. They are out for self. Don't hate on Obama b/c he won the nomination fairly. I don't give a damn about those 18 miilion cracks. Obviously they were not enough!!
I dont believe he was thinking about Hillary 2012... I guess it's hard to give the heartfelt, passionate, enthusiastic, endorsement for Barack when you dont feel that in your heart. Considering I dont think he feels Barrack is qualified to be Prez... I think Bill and Hillary have been more than gracious with their support for him.
You're right. I'ts impossible for Bill to enthusiastically support Barack because he does not feel it in his heart. Bill is such an honest, strightforward man (I DID NOT HAVE SEXUAL RELATIONS WITH THAT WOMAN). Please. He can fake it when he's trying to save his own butt, but not to get Obama elected. The Republicans wholeheartedly rally around their nominee. You don't see them turning on McCain. What in the world is wrong with the Democrats? I, for one, will never vote for a Clinton again
Prez Clinton saying it like it is was the most refreshing political coverage I've seen! I dont know which one I'll vote for... I was thrilled to vote for Clinton in '92, but definitely dont feel that way about the two choices now. I may just write in "Bill Clinton".. that would make me feel the best!
message me if u have any questions I was in ur shoes once...but Obama is the one we need in this financial crisis....but there are more reasons tooo....
People saying that Obama will raise their taxes must be making 7 figures salaries.
If you make less than 250K/year and are buying into this Obama-will-raise-my-taxes craze, needs to educate yourself. That myth has been debunked time and time again by various independant reporters.
Actually, if you make over $32,000 a year and aren't married Obama has already voted to raise your taxes. 110th Congress, 2nd session, roll call vote No. 142, June 4, 2008
This election just gets more interesting ever day. Clinton practically endorses McCain!! Haha. Guess what, folks. The Clintons are getting ready for Hilary to be the Dem candidate in 2012. I bet the Obama campaign is furious! The women on the view don't know what to do. Clinton ( who they worship), tells them people shouldn't be trying to find the worst in the candidates. Guess what? These same women chewed up McCain and spit him out when he was on the View last week. MCain/Palin 2008
I watched the whole interview and say "Bravo Bill"! He was honest and intelligent in everything he said. I'm SOOOO glad he did give his honest opinions... I have even more respect for him now. I've told many people recently, to bad we can't re-elect him!!!.. I trust him more than the other two to get us out of ALL the messes our country is in!! I voted for Clinton twice and Bush Jr. twice, and I can say that I 1000% feel much better about my votes for Bill Clinton!!!
Sarah Palin is so stupid she doesn't know that McCain is using her.. Once he is elected, she will be put in the background of never never land. McCain will secretly have Liebermann to be his VP. McCain already has Liebermann traveling with Sarah now. Sarah is in for a rude awakening.
at least clinton did a decent enough job that he can come before the American people with some dignity and pride. we wont be seeing that from bush...that says enough about mccain right there lol
I understand that Bill thinks Hillary is the best candidate. However, I agree with the statement that the Republicans stick together, while the Democrats are fragmenting. Pretty poor and selfish performance. This is about 2008, NOT 2012.
What the hell do you want him to do? Run through the streets screaming BARACCKKKKKKKK? Obama's a big boy and doesn't need Clinton holding his hand throughout the election.
Born and raised in Manhattan. That's where the hell I'm from. England has nothing to do with having education, but you people are all alike, aren't you?
Ok.....Bill Clinton said some great things and chose to analyze the current state of affairs intellectually. Don't forget the guy was Oxford trained! I don't think he said anything unfair about Obama, in fact I think he was being supportive and a realist. It is hard to forget over 18 million preferred Hillary over Obama but most WILL vote for him. We'll see in November.
President Clinton has turned out to be such a dissappointment. He has no interest in educating the American people. Very selfish and very unfortunate.
Interesting how the ex-President did not even try to go out of his way to support Obama, his fellow Democrat. Very disappointing and self serving of him. He obviously does not care that this might be the most important election in the last 40 years. He has definitely proven that he is all ambition and cares more about his and his wifes legacy than his country. I am really surprised at the blatancy of it.
It ain't his job to do that. The clinton's cannot win this election for obama. He will lose and of course everyone will blame the clinton's, so why should he go out of his way to help.
I agree with you on the fact that he cannot win the election for Obama, but it is definitely his job to do anything in his power to help his fellow democrat to get in office, he was speaking more highly and more frequently of McFart than of Obama. The Republicans show sure unity when push comes to shove, i must say i am really disappointed in Former President Clinton.
This is what just pisses me off about the Obama cult...and I'm voting for the guy. It's like you can't just support him, man, you've got to be a glossy-eyed Jesus freak about him. Get over it. He will win this thing if he is a good candidate. He holds ALL the cards at this point. The only thing, other than Obama messing it up, is the GOP stealing the election at the polls. Other than that, if he loses, it's his own damn fault.
What you mean, you would rather him lie about his opinion? Hes just being honest about what he thinks, he likes Mccain, just like every democrat did before he was the nominee.
-Let Palin work out the economy. She is running a whole household with 5 children so has a load of experience.
-Do not trust Palin with the code for the Nucs as it will be default 0000.
-Can not help you with your worse nightmare : Within 2 weeks all USA women look like Palin, same glasses, same shoes, same hair, same cloths, same, gun, same passwords, same dude, same brains.
-No matter that you do not know Spain is in Europe as long Palin can see Russia from her doorstep.

I don't understand the criticism of Bill not "stumping" for Obama. You don't have to piss all over the other guy running to show your support.
yuechan 3 years ago
I miss Bill! I'm glad that he was respectful of McCain. I for one believe that Obama can still win without demonizing McCain. I think the Palin choice was all the damage needed to make sure that McCain doesn't get elected. I would love to vote for a woman in office but not one that doesn't support other women. One of the biggest examples of that is the whole making women who are victims of sexual assault pay for their own rape investigation kits. So wrong.
definitelyjulia 3 years ago 2
Actually, Governor Palin required that rape victims WITH INSURANCE should have the cost of the kits paid for. Those without coverage received kits paid for by State taxpayors. She was saving taxpayor money and not denying access to the kits for uninsured women. Now that you know the truth, do you support Palin? Probably not, because you are an obamasheep.
stopgapflop 3 years ago
The last thing women I've counciled who where raped want to hear is "do you have your insurance card?"
I can run the country more than she can.
YES I CAN!
crazycoolone 3 years ago
Now why is it that you feel the need to resort to name calling? That's sure to win people over. So let me get this right YOU believe it is acceptable for a victim with insurance to have their insurance company be billed for a procedure that is needed for a criminal investigation? When does this happen w/any other crime? You see the "truth" through your own perspective & attack others because they disagree. I see it differently & don't feel the need to attack you back.
definitelyjulia 3 years ago

He's not pushing the McCain card. he's analysing the situation in a cold rational way as it should be. He is democrat, he admires Obaba, his politics are in line with Obama, he detailed explained while Obama will win and most importantly his entire economic cabinet is working with Obama on th economy.
Now saying he is pushing McCain is really ridiculous
freedomanddemocracy 3 years ago 4
There are key signals that clearly indicate he is not fully supporting Obama. Once asked directly who does he think will win, he waited a moment before answering Obama.
I think is time that all democrats unite to support the man that will bring to Washington the Democratic ideals. I was Hillary supporter, and I will always admire her, but now my FULL support is for Obama.
Bill should put now his ideals ahead of his personal aspirations.

COM0fAek 3 years ago
It's the only way Hillary could ever be president. She may not want it in 2016 but, as Bill says, the way people vote is a personal matter. There were lots of older women who said they wanted to live to see a women president. They may be voting just for a women and might not all be around in 8 more years. Just like some people may think they have only a few years left and think they don't want to see a black as president. No wonder why this race is so close when it should be a blowout for Obama.
mickeysears 3 years ago
But the question of whether The Clintons and many Democrats wouldn't mind forfeiting this election and run Hillary in 2012 is telling. If they were true Democrats and believed their platform would be better for the American people, then the implication is they would rather let the us endure 4 more years of bad policy for greed and a lust for power.
mickeysears 3 years ago 2
I am a Hillary supporter and I somewhat agree with you mickeysears, except I have noticed that the fake cheerleading for McCain to see Obama hurt is out of anger, a desire for revenge. I, for one, feel this election is about more than revenge. I'll quote Hillary: "Barack Obama is my candidate, and he must be our President!"

I guess it's hard to give the heartfelt, passionate, enthusiastic, endorsement for Barack when you dont feel that in your heart. ladydi922 3 years ago

Wow, a decent interview from the View... It can be done. I could probably watch the show. Then again, scratch that...I'm sure its a fluke.

But I sure don't think he can lose.

Former President sounds more appropriate.

What you mean, you would rather him lie about his opinion? Hes just being honest about what he thinks, he likes Mccain, just like every democrat did before he was the nominee.

Advise to McCain
-Let Palin work out the economy. She is running a whole household with 5 children so has a load of experience.
-Do not trust Palin with the code for the Nucs as it will be default 0000.
-Can not help you with your worse nightmare : Within 2 weeks all USA women look like Palin, same glasses, same shoes, same hair, same cloths, same, gun, same passwords, same dude, same brains.
-No matter that you do not know Spain is in Europe as long Palin can see Russia from her doorstep.

Clinton wants Hillary in 2012. Doesn't even try to hide it.

That's what we call a ringing endorsement! if Obama wins, Hillary has no chance to be president ever...that's why Billy hardly supports Obama
