We use something called "Radiometric dating". There are several types of radiometric dating, so I suggest you take a look at those.

1 flaw in your logic is that you won't subject the claims of "evolution" to the same standard which you demand of God. You can't create isolated, repeatable, experiments that demonstrate macro-evolution. No one has ever observed such a thing. The fossil records has gaps that ASSUME 1 form of creature evolved in to another. But no 1 has ever observed these changes taking place. No 1 observed "the big bang" & even the theories surrounding this have EVOLVED over the years--you have FAITH in it.

As for objectivity. Look into all the people that set out to disprove The Bible and ended up selling out for Christ (this includes myself). Look into Josh McDowell and Lee Strobel for modern examples. There have also been many, many respected researchers throughout history who saw the light.

As far as the water, The Bible says God changed the topography of the earth at that time, raising mountains and lowering valleys. Setting the shore line where it is today roughly(ice caps). The pyramids off the coast of Japan are evidence of this. As far as secular history knows, that section of the sea floor wasn't ever exposed to air, yet they were built.

good post. the brain is constantly in search of finding something familiar out of unfamiliar things. if you hear a sound in the distance, its your brain that tells you what the sound is. what i mean is, if your brain doesn't know what the sound is, you will warp what you think the sound is, until you find it similar to something you may know. someone scooting a chair in the next room over may sound like a baby cry, though theres no reason to believe its a baby unless theres a baby in the house.

I recommend you check what the scientific community says about it.

That's why we don't use Carbon dating as a reliable method.
We use something called "Radiometric dating". There are several types of radiometric dating, so I suggest you take a look at those.
And I don't watch a whole lot of TV really. If I'm curious about something, I tend to first head to the library, find some books about said subject, and if it's a experiment, I head to the school laboratory in hopes that they allow me to test it.
So far, I've been lucky.

I can't really remember, but social evolution for humanoids have only been developing for about 10.000 years or so.
So I would estimate that homo sapiens have been around for about 20.000+ years or so.
And since our origin in Africa, we have developed in many different ways throughout the world.
That in itself should be proof for natural selection.

1 flaw in your logic is that you won't subject the claims of "evolution" to the same standard which you demand of God. You can't create isolated, repeatable, experiments that demonstrate macro-evolution. No one has ever observed such a thing. The fossil records has gaps that ASSUME 1 form of creature evolved in to another. But no 1 has ever observed these changes taking place. No 1 observed "the big bang" & even the theories surrounding this have EVOLVED over the years--you have FAITH in it.

Contradictions aside, many of the "stories" in the Bible are ridiculous and have not been proven. Most importantly, science has time and time again disproved Biblical writings / claims.......... @nothin2pruv the facts are the claims in the bible for the most part couldn't have happened i.e. the story of Noah, Giants, Fairies, a man living in the stomach of a fish, the population starting from just one man and one woman, building a tower high enough to reach heaven etc.Evolution has been observed mankind is getting taller and the baby finger is starting to reseed, the human tale bone.The evolution of the whale is a great example without any “gaps" your word not mine.

It is not an assumption that no supreme powers were involved because as we read through the book things are written out how they happen and there are stores that include supreme powers like the parting of the sea, burning bush and water into wine and then there are stories without such intervention.

@christinepeace Before you go there, you should know the easiest reference I have to the topic is a favorite video of mine that I featured for you to watch. The Epic of Gilgamesh Flood and The Bible. As for objectivity. Look into all the people that set out to disprove The Bible and ended up selling out for Christ (this includes myself). Look into Josh McDowell and Lee Strobel for modern examples. There have also been many, many respected researchers throughout history who saw the light.

Look at statistics, for Jesus to fulfill just 8 prophecies in one lifetime is statistically impossible. (unless his arrival was foreknown(consider his claim that many would come in his name, and the history of people doing that throughout time)) He fulfilled over 300 (documented). The Bible in total is 1 to 2 thirds prophecy, show me an incorrect 1

As far as the water, The Bible says God changed the topography of the earth at that time, raising mountains and lowering valleys. Setting the shore line where it is today roughly(ice caps). The pyramids off the coast of Japan are evidence of this. As far as secular history knows, that section of the sea floor wasn't ever exposed to air, yet they were built.

@christinepeace There was no question mark in that response, nor was there any who what where when or why. As far as the water mixing, we can only see the salinity of the oceans today(post flood). We also observe fresh and salt water life thousands of years after the flood. Maybe a lot of the life did die, we've explored like 3 percent of the ocean floor. This is the best you can do? Good video. I'm like in the same boat as you are by searching for my answers that are un question. When I was 16 years old ( at the time I was christian) I went to the doctors to chec on my ear because I had a small hole in it that needs to be coverd. And, so, days went by & w/o thinking I went to confession & then confesse most of my sins & then like a week later went back to the doctors and then the doctor couldn't find no whole at all. Honestly, it blew me away & I just don't know what 2 say
