okay, what they could've done to make these "repeats" more interesting is show when they are doing the "variations of work" as Nagato described. Otherwise, they were just pointless episodes, attempting to be a symbol of "Endless Eight" which with the 8 rotated at 90 degree angle, represents infinity. endless, and so on. MUGEN!!!!

Just an FYI, the events of the endless 8 and the sighs string play into the disappearance of haruhi suzumiya, the recently released movie.

What impressed me is how they managed to shoot the same events this many times, and yet make them so subtly different that they're not just reusing the same episode.

Also, frustrating. I almost fell over when I finally realized that there were 8 of these things. I found myself begging Kyon to remember his line. I wonder if the Japanese viewers are just more patient than we are?

Because Season 1 and Season 2 Intermix, so they make one season together, really. The happenings of Endless Eight are before that episode takes place, making that chronologically correct.

You'll also notice in Episode 12, in chronological order of Season 1 has the Bamboo Tree that was first revealed in Episode 1 of Season 2~ In Chronological order, Episode 1 of Season 2 is actually Episode 8 of the entire series, so that's why it shows up before we see the anime xD lol
