Hi Peter, Doesnt this one piece takeaway cause the club to close and the spine angle to change? It doesnt go back in a straight line in my opinion. Your golf swing doesnt work in a straight line, so why the chip. It is just a mini swing isnt it? If club shuts, it must open again

The spine angle does not change and there is no conscious opening of the clubface to start, in the transition stage the "uncocking" wrists rotate slightly open.
