  • Hope you Licked it Jazzy!!! I DID! I stoped treatment in 2000 after 12 mos of Hell! and have been Totally Viral Free since! Hope You are CURED TOO! Good Luck Sweetie...xx

  • This girl is absolutely stunning! I'm sad she's got this nasty bug.

  • avril lavinge.... :D :D

  • This is nobody's FAULT. It is rarely passed on during pregnancy. Would you say inheriting a predisposition to diabetes or breast cancer is somebody's FAULT? If somebody is sick they are sick.

  • I'm a 57 year old man. Got hep c via contaminated blood, I am a heamophiliac. I did 7 months on interferon before they stopped it. Had all the side effects. Your a very brave kid! Watched with tears rolling down my face. Be cool, this too will pass.

  • shes fine, besides the whole hepititus thing.

  • ..have exhausted all avenues to find free treatment, and am too sick and poor to pay for it...

  • All i can say is please to any one that has hep c take milk thisle please look it up all natural and works

  • i have my last injection of Pegasus/interferon after 48 weeks treatment today!!! i just hope, like anything that in 12 mths, i maitain SVR.. be clear... good luck to anyone doing the treatment, and i waited so long to do it, NIKE! JUST DO IT! what have you got to lose.. peace

  • @boazandjiacinth good luck, hope it worked out... I might have to do the same thing soon also

  • I hope we both find a treatment that's tolerable , I had to stop my treatment due to vision sid effects.

  • New protease inhibitors to be taken with interferon/ribivarin therapy are making null responders and relapsers have SVR. Boceprevir and it's main competitor telaprevir have been recently released in the US. Not only that, but in a few decades we will be seeing stem cell livers that do not require anti-rejection drugs. Hold on to hope!

  • Poor baby. I don't know how you went to school on treatment.

  • iam scared,me for me , God is with us

  • Dear Jazzy , I am a 36 yearold Now Christian woman Who found out I have Hep C .What Geo type do you have and what is your Viral load. I am querious and wondering about going through treatment or not.I pray that they will have a quear for this soon.

  • @ladybugnwyoming I am praying for a cure too.. I have bee Hep C positive for over five years now and I just couldn't tolerate the drug therapy.

  • Does anybody know how she's doing now?

  • Comment removed

  • a lot of my friends have that

  • I had to get tested for hep A not long ago even though I thought it was kinda pointless and they should be looking for something else that had made me turn yellow from top to bottom but the doctors had a point. As it happened I had something else that can go hand in hand with hep but isn't sexually transmitted (although, just like a cold, it can be).

  • god bless u sweety.

  • This poor girl. What a sin, she'd done nothing wrong.

My boyfriend of over seven years has Hep C. He and I were both IV drug users. We'd started together and stopped together five years ago. In that two year span, he contracted it. I did not. Though we shared needles only with each other. I was lucky I suppose. He did the Interferon injections and said he felt no side effects (and he's a tiny thing).

Thank God, he's negative now. It's a scary thing though. God bless this sweet girl.

  • You are young and a shitload of new drugs are coming very soon ( boceprevir, telaprevir, alinia ect.....) Dont worry you will eventually clear the virus interferon or not!

  • I've got hepatitis C too, had it from birth and im 20 now. i havent told many people just my family. i have never got treatment and dont know if i want too . i suffer from tierdness all the time too. hope you find a treatment.xx

  • @Dmmr1000

Do it ! I know two people that got rid of it. Especially if you got genotype 2 or 3 chances are 80 to 90% to get rid of it. Genotype 1 is 50/50.

  • @Dmmr1000 Oh gosh. I sincerely pray that you get t.x. and fast. Please do.

I pray that the damage that has already incurred is minimal.

As you know, Hep C affects the liver, which is one of our most vital organs. One of it's primary functions is removal of all the toxic crap we ingest daily,

Have you any symptoms such as jaundice (i.e. yellowing of the whites of the eyes)? How is your count and what genotype r u?

My bf was lucky with interferon. No side effects. It can be ok, seriously.

  • i have hepatitis C too. i have had it from birth and im 20 now. have never tried treatment, not sure if i want too, like you i become very tierd all the time. you will make it throughxx

  • @Dmmr1000

    are there any simptoms?

or there might not be any simptoms?

  • @SlavonicGreek I haven't had any symptoms as of yet, I didn't even know I had this

  • wow, your doctors should of taken you off treatment after no response after 6 months. Almost no-one who is virus positive after 24 weeks is cured or "SVR". You NEED to have your response to the first 12 weeks of treatment carefully monteres to determione what kind of resonder you are. This means ideally, quantitative viral load tests every 2 weeks for the first 3 months.

  • good lukk jazzy , i pray for you to get better.. as well I have hepatitis c , i just found out i had it fer about a yr . about a wk ago . me and my gf have it i hope we can all get rid of this thing . I need to learn more about this virus , i dont know what to think of it really ? is treatment expensive ?

  • may god bless you and keep you well

  • She could be a model. What a brave girl.

  • Jazzy,

I feel so bad for you. Let me know if there is anything I can do to help, o.k.?

    ps. America Loves You.

  • Jazzy,

What a beautiful brave young lady to share your story. I have been trying to find teens born with Hep c as I adopted my daughter at one she is beautiful like you and is 14. I am trying to find the right treatment for geno type 1. Do you chat with other teens with hep c. You all need each other so much on this journey. You are a real warrior. Thank You for being so real and honest .

    Sheila

  • this video needs more views

  • Amazing video. I learned and it was beautiful. I hope everything works out for you, you seem like an amazing person.

  • I think it was a mistake telling her she was virus free, as the next thing we know she is drinking. However she wont make that mistake again.I have failed treatment once + am now 12 weeks into my 2nd attempt. the tip about taking ur jab at 10-11pm is a good one. Youth is on your side, you'll be fine. next time U put your fight 1st,before friends + all other distractions, only people of good will. Good luck.

  • Hepatitis C is NOT an STD. I have genotype 1 HCV and have had it since 1969. I was on tx but it was discontinued at 12 weeks because I was a nonresponder. I now have cirrhosis but am doing ok.

  • Hey I just saw your video on CNN. Be brave and do try again. I am a 42 year old male in Western Canada that just did the 6 month pegatron interferon treatment for Hep C Genome 3a.Luckily my treatment has worked and in a few days I will take my last blood test to see if the virus is still dead. One hint if I may, take the shot and the pills very late at night when you don't have to get up early the next day. That way you can sleep through the worst. Thanks for sharing your journey. Be Brave

  • I have hepatitis as well, only it's Hep B, which I contracted at birth. Like Jazzy, my mother was an IV drug user. It makes you value life much more.

  • I saw your video in CNN and I sending you my best wishes for you and your family, go ahead and no surrender. God bless you

  • Thank you , you are so so brAve! I LOVE YOU SO SO MUCH!

  • Jazzy, don't give up! Newer combo treatments are looking promising.

    You're a brave, brave girl.

  • well done, shows the reality of the virus and doesnt make it sound like nothing to worry about

    good job

  • Jazzy, I wish you all the best. I'm currently doing this treatment and I know how you feel. You're young and new drugs are coming up soon. Lots of love and luck.

  • thisis so honest... BEAUTIFUL

  • dont worry girl its gonna be alright

new and very promising treatment is coming soon from Vertex Pharma around yr 2011 on markets

I hope ill be alright aswell, got hep c gen1 for 28yrs already from birth

had a therapy once like u, failed also :(

  • Jazzy, keep your head up high! I think as medical technology advance a cure will become available. I think the world of you inside and out! Stay strong.... :)

  • Jazzy de Lisser your cute! :)

  • Why doesn't her mother have such severe symptoms?

  • at least she has medical and family support... when i was 13 a "nurse practitioner" told me i was born a biohazard, that it was incurable, and i should just wait to die cuz i would probably get sick by 20. i asked about treatment & specialists, he chuckled an said "that takes a couple hundred grand" as i was leaving (in shock) he hands me a note says "1)dont bleed. 2)limit ur contact with people."

  • better to have cancer or somthing that is mercifull and will kill you quick... dying couldn't be nearly as bad as spending your whole life waiting to die... and living in fear of murdering anyone around you...

  • This has nothing to do with anything but she used to be my gf (no joke).

  • 10 ++

  • Great video. 5 stars.

  • Maybe if the Stinking Government put as much money into the NHS, as they have put in their own back pockets over the last 10 years; we would have a cure by now. That also goes for all the other spitefull diseases. Cancer Huntingtons Disease LAMS Disease Endometriosis MS AIDS Crogn's Disease Diabetes Alzheimer's TB (Tuberculosis) Parkinson's Schizophrenia Etc. Etc. Have we Cured any of them? No. Because the most money the researchers/Scientists get is from Charities. The Gov don't give a shit.
  • Completely agree.

  • Tell it like it is . Well done .

    Good on you !!!

  • my heart goes out to all the family. I'm one of the lucky ones, I am cured and my son was not infected...he could have been. no-one has the right to judge her mum !

  • You will beat it .

  • You will fight it all the way . You will never give up untill you win .

    God bless

  • How do you know if you have got it,what are the symptoms to look for, what does it do? Poor kid is the product of her bohemian amsterdamned parents..

  • This is so sad. Hopefully she will be cured eventually.

  • You made me cry I really have sympathy for what you are going through but you look like a tough kid and I am sure you will make it through this :)

  • Ahh hunny,...my Dad has has hep c for about 12 years now through drug use and the sharing of needles,...its so sad to see your fight against this awful virus...my heart goes out to you with hopes of easier tomorrows x ;)) x

  • don't really have much to say......all i can say, is its ALL the mums fault. so as you can see, just stay away from drugs, i dont care what your opinion is, and i totally disagree at decriminalizing drugs. so if the mum feels the pressure and cannot take it, tough, i have very little remorse. as for treatment, yes, there is developments in treatment for hepatitis c, but with the virus evolving quicker than the development of drugs, you can imagine the problems at hand. we just have to be patient

  • I'm fairly sure her mum knows its her fault and doesn't need you pointing it out, I dare say her daughter is a daily reminder. It's all fine and well sitting at home criticising but everyone makes mistakes and it looks as though the whole family are paying for it. I'm sure if her mum could take it all back she would. Pointing out peoples mistakes does not make life any easier and nor does it solve anything. I'd see the point if her mum was a low life who didn't care but she's not.

  • "totally disagree at decriminalizing drugs"

    WHY

if drugs were legal and regulated, this kinda thing wouldn't be an issue, it'd be safer!

why should alcohol be legal when it causes so much crime/illness

  • then why should drugs be legal when they cause so much crime/illness?

and the reason why drugs are not legal is because they have such a destructive effect on the transmission of nerve impulses from neuron to neuron.

Making poisons legal would be madness, because no one can resistant their hold and use them just 'to try'.

Thery are so addictive, you have no idea and im not talkin about the mild joint or whatever.

DRUGS AND ALCOHOL SHOULD BOTH BE ILLEGAL.

  • Alcohol is awesome, the government can't afford to make it illegal, same with cigarettes. They make too much money off the heavy taxes on such products. They don't really want you to stop smoking =)

  • The problem is that people are going to take drugs whether they are legal or not. If they make a drug ,for example heroin, legal it means that it is more controllable. As you saw in the video there the girl's mum said she may have contracted Hep C from sharing a intravenous drug use, possible by sharing needles. If it was legal then getting clean needles would not be a problem.

  • i agree with deedidee it will never be fixed so they should have centers there they can go into and get there fix under supervision so nothing bad happens like overdose or whatever
