Even out of character, he had the presence and personality of Superman. At 5 years old, he made me believe a mad could fly, and at the current age of 24 - he still makes me believe a man can fly.
Requiescat in Pace, Christopher Reeve.
This movie is a masterpiece. Thank you for uploading this documentary.
The man with suckers to climb as a glass wall- Having things is not a valid cause of action, also Superman would have to appear as a witness to answer this question:
"Superman, can you tell me and the rest of the court, factually, what is the State?"
Lawyers, not even super-lawyers, can answer that one.

@KryptonBorn1 This was on the 4-disc dvd on the Superman Collection DVD. You can buy his individually. Available on a 4-disc DVD in the 78, and its now available on blu-ray again on the Superman Collection.
@ion010101 Why? The character is white. There would be up-raw if a white man played Shaft. It just wouldn't be right. The character Shaft is black, Blade is black.
IF only the Salkinds had left Poor Richard Donner alone..John Williams would of scored Superman 2..and NOT Ken Thorne and the London High School Band!!! LOL
Never understood the fascination with comic books heroes, even though I spent most of my life drawing comics. I always liked underground comics/ Mad magazine and graphic novels much better. DC superheros always seemed too one dimensional and boring, especially Superman. However, I really liked this movie. They gave the character a complexity and depth that was absent from the comic. The new DC characters are more like anti heroes, everything that the comic Superman wasn't
our family was so lucky to have a book of this one, THE MAKING OF SUPERMAN, it's still with us until now, we consider it as a treasure! we all love Christopher Reeve and Margot Kidder.
For years, I associated Ernie Anderson the narrator with Superman. When I was 10 years old and Superman came out, I thought that movie was the greatest thing I had ever seen.
That narrator was cool. He did all the intros for TV show premieres back in the day. I remember his voice on the commercials for V and The Greatest American Hero, The A-Team, etc,
@SonOfSpork Tom Welling. The man has Christopher's and Super's jaw and the hair is perfect. I see him as the rebirth of Superman and should reboot the movies in memory of all that came before him. imo
I give a lot of props to the producers and whomever chooses the actors for choosing Christopher Reeve. Up until then, he wasn't a well-known actor at the time and I believe they passed up on more famous actors in favour of him. He seems to down-to-earth and this role fit him to a tee!
I remember seeing this on tv back in the late 70's/early 80's. It was on ABC (channel 7 here in NYC). That would explain the voice of the narrator, a VERY familiar voice to anyone watching ABC back in those days. This was shown either after the theatrical release of the movie, or the ABC television premiere a few years later. It is great to see this again!
