Goblins and Ocrs are different. They have different builds and looks. Goblins are are more agile and able to do stuff like climb walls. Ocrs are less agile but far stronger.
whats the difference between orcs and goblins? cuz in the hobbit it says nothing about orcs and in lotr it says ALMOST nothing of goblins. anyone know?
@mascarawand29 Actually, from what I have read they are different. Goblins are more of a "natural" breed of Orc, and come in the largest numbers. Orcs are the middle ground between the stronger Uruk-Hai, and the weak Goblins.
@mrfoozy47 they are exactly the same..at the beginning of the hobbit (the book) tolkien explains that orcs and globins are the same. The only difference is that goblins mostly live in the caves
@dillononeill123 what the fuck are you talking about dude, j.r.r tolkien had already confirmed that orcs and goblins are actuly the exact same creatures anly he though "orc" would be a much more fearfull name when he continued his series at the end so he named the goblins, orcs
@mrfoozy47 goblins are smaller lesser versions of orcs who usually dwell in the mountains, while orcs are larger and serve souron in the battle for the ring
@mrfoozy47 Goblins are slightly smaller and much more clever than the larger and dumber orcs. The ones that attacked the fellowship in Moria were goblins. The ones that attacked Minas Tirith were orcs.
@mrfoozy47 orcs are bigger and stronger but much less agile. Goblins are smaller but are adapted to living underground and shit so they have larger ears, better eyesight, able to climb walls and all sorts and sort of rely on overwhelming number rather than brute strength
The book explains (it's open next to me right now) that the Battle of Five Armies was called so because of the Men, Elves, Dwarves, Goblins, and Wargs. The Eagles are not included.
That level when you have to find the Arkenstone.... that was the most irritating of all the levels for me. But the clip before the battle there was great!
Didn't the three armies fight for a few hours or days before the goblin/warg army showed up? BTW there is a two-part Hobbit movie being made by one of the big Hollywood studios (not sure if it's the same guys who made the recent LOTR movies, i hope not), it is big bugdet and live-action. Not due for release for at least a year tho :(
No the Three Armies that were in field Dwarfs Men of Laketown and Wood elves didnt figth until the goblins arrivided and that unidet the factions against the goblins No the Hoobitt wil not be made by the original makes of LOTR because of economical reasons and battles betwen companies for the rigths.

Orcs live in Mordor and Minas Morgul, Goblins live near the misty mountains, that's why they were in Moria and Orcs weren't

To see the Battle of the Five Armies in The Hobbit movie will hopefully be visual multiple orgasms.

@mascarawand29 goblins are different then orcs because orcs are larger and serve sauron while goblins are small and live in tribes

EpicOdysseus 2 years ago 7
@EpicOdysseus that's technically false, but officially true.
You see the 5th army was the Eagles lead by Gwaihir.
The Wargs were apart of the goblins, they were not independent.
But oh well i guess the only people who will be offended will be the eagles lol.
MrGilles1990 9 months ago
I thought that the eagles were the fifth army.
microeyes360 2 years ago
they were the fifth army they came into battle right after the golbins
Manson4Life666 2 years ago
i meant to say in the cartoon the elves look weird not this
jared33647 2 years ago
The fifth army was first the Wargs, I think.
but the '78 Hobbit cartoon screwed it all up.

I know this was the battle of the five armies, but who was the 5th? Was it the eagles?
SpikeZ5 2 years ago
The five were the Goblins and Wargs VS the Men, Elves and Dwarves.
mascarawand29 2 years ago
oh right, thanks.
SpikeZ5 2 years ago
No, you were right, Wargs and Goblins were considered 1 army. Men was 1, Elves were 1, and Men were 1. Eagles were the fifth. :)

NO! The fifth army - is the Bilbo! Its wrote in the book!
