@revelthehunter When it comes to the Zelda series, the timeline is utterly bogus. The way I look at it is similar to my viewing of the Ryu's and Nina's in the Breath of Fire series. Each game is different than the next with a different story, gameplay elements, & characters. So I never think of them as related but simply re-imaginings of the original concept. Ultimately in the end, who cares what the timeline is! I agree, there's no real timeline whatsoever in the Zelda series.

Lost contact and interest with Pokémon once the number got higher than 350, so I don't really care.

And I always was confused over the Zelda Timeline, although I only knew for sure about the one of Ganon returns, Link doesn't, hence WW, PH and ST. Oooh, Dream Drop Distance. FINALLY a KH title that is easy to pronounce instead of 358/2 days or whatchamacallit.

Ganon kills Link in the final battle (after he awakens the Sages and gets the Triforce of Courage). That's how the the Sages where able to still seal Ganon with the aid of the Knight of Hyrule as stated in A Link to the Past. That's also how Ganon managed to have all three pieces of the Triforce in ALttP.

I think that the part in the timeline where it says that Link fails is created in all those times when you travel through time (For example, going to the Bottom of the Well, getting Epona's Song if you didn't already, etc.) That would explain why it said that no one was able to pull out the Master Sword in that timeline because Link no longer existed in that timeline. I think that the Master Sword ended up being in that timeline because..... uhhh... it's magic? Yeah, that's my explanation.

@kNIGHTWING01 Hey Kwing, I'm a huge Zelda fan (just look at my Username) and I think I can clear up your confusion with the timeline. This is a really simple answer, but Link could have just awakened the sages, went into Ganon's Castle, fought and defeated Ganondorf, then fought and died at the hands of Ganon. Thus the seven sages took up arms as well as all remaining knights of Hyrule thus starting the Imprisoning War. Hope that clears things up.

It's not "if" Link fails. The point that Link is sent back to leaves a dead end we didn't consider... the short period of time between when he is sent back to, and when the Master Sword is drawn. If he's taken out of that time, Ganondorf wins. The Imprisioning War can still happen, because there are sages alive at the beginning of OoT. We see them in TP. The sages we meet during the adult timeline portion of OoT awaken as sages are the successors of those past sages.

I think this timeline is just big rubbish, it doesn't fit at all, and by that I'm pointing at the 3 Split-Ups.

First in Wind Waker it was said at the beginning, that the hero of time (link) defeated the evil (ganon) but it returned, so that doesn't fit at all, also Zelda 1 and 2 make no sense at all, I mean there are so many things missing, for example Kakariko, I don't know if this is really the Storyline Miyamoto invented. But I don't think the Father of Link would make so much mistakes.

In the new Zelda Timeline (by the way I peed a little when I saw the title of this video), it appears that the "Imprisoning War" is now over actually sealing Ganondorf, whereas before he was sealed, of course, after The Hero of Time defeated him. So, either way, Ganondorf gets sealed.

The zelda thing makes perfect sense. Since all of the writing has not been translated yet (just the order of the games and timeline) then there is a way of thinking about it which actually makes OoT make more sense - specifically the opening. There is a theory that when Link sees himself get struck down by Ganondorf after the first 3 temples that isnt a flashforward but a memory of what happened before in another split timeline, it is where he dies and creates A, so he can brace for it later:B/C

New direction is all good as long as they keep producing the turn based games (like Blue/Red etc).

I don't mind a few spin offs here and there (Snap etc) But I prefer the turn based collect battle style the most.
